It depends how and why they return. But I think time should be given for current events to settle down before considering another Primearc comes back.

It would depend on the situation and state of the galaxy. However, what i mean is that they should let the stew cook for a bit so that all the ingredients actually soften into the lore. You could have two different primarcs come back at once but it needs to be done in a justifying manner. For example let’s say the Wolf boi comes back. Ok why did he leave? Answer:To hunt down the cyclops. Ok, what has he achieved and how will this affect him and the whole story? Answer: He achieved nothing because he was in the warp for too long and turned into a giant wolf. (Throwing this out of nowhere with no hints, connections or concerns for the future) You can see how the ingredients are not exactly good for this idea. So things need to settle in the lore. We all need to breathe and take a second of consideration before we start moving. This could be done fast with lots of action and high impact moments however you’re more likely to burn your stew. Then all of your work will mean nothing.

I want vulkan to pull a crusade on the cut off part of the imperium just having rage fits over how bad its gotten for the average citizens. Have it be a plot point that he isnt revealed but having a massive surge of more self reliant planets being made while something is just digging into chaos' back

@@Bec-SonI like the idea as long as he still upholds human life above all else. Then you could balance it out with another primarch who knows nothing but the hunt and pursuit like the Khan. Each primarchs opposite should return in an order that doesn't cause the imperium to lose its edge or its head.

@@isiahalcindor6278 Yeah I haven't read the newer stuff but the vibes I get are that they're making the Imperium way more of the good guy faction than they were. Not a fan of that. Please do not sanitize the turbo fascists. Let's give the fire man an epiphany and have him start a civil war or something. Let's have him reckon with his own past actions in service to this bloated corpse of an empire in the least healthy way possible. Let's have him go through a ton of introspection while trying to incinerate the very thing he helped build. It's a somewhat controversial opinion, but I'm not a huge fan of everyone being a shitbag. That said, I think having people desperately trying to do good in a universe that wants to snuff out the light wherever it finds it is very cool. Having Vulkan shattered by his own involvement in what the Imperium has become while trying to burn it all down would be awesome.

We'll see what happens, it seems like the brawls you would expect to see haven't happened. Russ for me would have been the obvious loyalist primarch to bring back first after magnus, and the khan would have maid sense after mortarion. Hopefully we see a gman / fulgrim round 2 this year

@@vittoanaranto4795Aside from the Yvraine thing, which just kinda got abandoned halfway through, there's not really been any development since 3e to the best of my knowledge. Been a couple of bl books, but they didn't progress anything. All the subfactions are exactly the same as they were in the 90s. A huge amount of the models are either from the 90s or discontinued too. This is why Aeldari players don't feel bad about Strands of Fate.

My theorie is that dorn is going to return next. No idea when or from where but before he was lost, he was the defence guy in Guilliman's Triumvirate. I think he will get the Emperor's thunderclaw

Thunder claws don’t seem like a Dorn weapon to me. That’s more of a corvus corax weapon GW isn’t above making new war gear that was supposedly the emperors that he didn’t really use (pretty sure they did that with his shield), so I could see Dorn getting a power fist if he was to return.

I think there are strong arguments for why they shouldn't, but I also think it's inevitable. Like telling a storm all the reasons having rain would suck on a particular day, just because you might be right doesn't really matter. The Primarchs are almost a literal gold mine in more ways than one. They were ALWAYS going to return to some degree. The question is just how many loyalists will still be alive.

I disagree because the Nids are getting a whole new raid boss(forgot its name), necron have like the best characters(imo) and the orks are cool. Only one who need help are the tau and eldar

Not sure if this HAS to be true. It is true presently as Chaos and Space Marines become even more prevalent with each primarch’s return. GW can create other things and I’d say we, as a community, should try to encourage that as much as we can to do so.

I think they should all come back, just cause it would feel kinda shitty to the fans of different legions if their primarchs don’t get to come back, even though others have. Excluding Ferrus Manus and Sanguinius, obviously. I don’t even say this as a SM fan, in fact I kinda hate them for how their favouritism really harms the setting for every other faction, but if the smurfs get their dad, so should the Mongolian biker gang and the others.

Well there appears to be a lot of active traitor primarchs. It would be “fair” to bring back as many loyalist ones. In particular I think Corvus Corax would be super interesting since the rumour is he is basically a bird-demon-thing at the moment so you can only imagine how Guilliman, Johnson, and the other big shots in the Imperium would react to that. Another very unique one would be the “return” of that uncorrupted Fulgrim clone from Trazyn’s collection too. His interactions with Guilliman and corrupted Fulgrim would be amazing to read about.

I think that its needed. The story NEEDS to keep unfolding and, honestly, the return of hte Primarchs provides a lot of narrative weight. GW just needs to do it smartly so it doesnt over shadow other interesting events also going on in the story.

Be interesting if a traitor primarks returned with a rejuvenating appliance for the golden throne and the fight for the emperors return followed with many loyal and heretic primarks returning to fight over if it becomes taited with chaos and his rejuvenation would yeild a rift within the imperium more so

primarchs should strengthen imperium less as more are added. Guilliman was a massive boon, but as more return, there should be infighting or at least complications to keep 40k a never ending tug of war.

There was an awesome feeling to the first Halo games, when the player was under the impression they were the last one alive. Elites would see you and be like 'Demon!! The Last of the Spartans!!!' in your mind, which is infinitely cooler a reaction to a character than 'Demon! Wait, nevermind, it's Dave. no wait. dave? Norman!!! Norman that's it. How are ya mate?'

I think they should bring both sides to the same number of primarchs, I think 4 is fair. That gives room to bring back Leman Russ for the Wolves, Fulgrim, and one more to maybe uplift a chapter out of the shadow of the ultramarines.

They all should come back, with the exception of sanguineous or Horus, and with a lot of time in between. The Return of a Primarch should always be a huge event, not just a side story or footnote, and not expectable at one point. And like he told, there are so much more stories to tell about other things, it shouldn't always be around the remaining Primarchs, that would be poison for the world of 40k, which has so much more variety the Space Marines.

I highly doubt they would ever do anything like this but I thought up a cool scenario. Cawl thinks he can revive the emperor by gathering genetic material and/or psychic power from all the primarchs and basically combining it all to make clone flesh to heal the emperor. This sends Guliman and the Lion on a quest to find all the other primarchs, gather DNA/power from the dead ones relics, uncover the mystery of the 2 lost primarchs, and confront each of the traitors to get samples. Just to keep it grimdark the experiment could go horribly wrong at the last moment for whatever reason and it fails. I just think it could be a good idea to bring them all back at once.

I think it good as long as gw keep raising the stakes. Like gazgool gets stronger because of the returned primarchs, the tyranids get a super form after getting a bite of one of the primarchs, all the demon primarchs return and start waging wars

I think after gulliman and the lion reunite they should pause on any more loyalist primarchs coming back for a while govv be a time for the brothers to come to grips with modern 40k. Let them have their own unique story liens together and get the attention they were kind of they kind of overlooked during the the heresy.

Guillguy coming back is an important step in the setting, i think. But ultimately the primarchs are walking mcguffins who should be utilized as such, and should only return / exist for the purpose of advancing the plot and raising the stakes (but even then you can only raise them so far.)

There should only have maybe two or three come back and I think the only ones who should/have the strongest case is jagatai khan and vulkan. Jagatai can come back to offset the emperor’s children return from the dark eldar webway and square off with fulgrim finally and vulkan has a strong case because he’s already returned for a brief period during the war of the beast and considering he’s a perpetual, he’s 100% out there somewhere. But after them I don’t think I’d want many others just so xenos, chaos and other aspects of the imperium can get more screen time because as much as the primarchs are cool, they are essentially treated as protagonists of the setting and suck the oxygen out of the room for everyone else.

In my mind it depends who returns. The Khan, Dorn or Corax wouldn't kill the setting in the long run. But let someone like Russ return and it's gonna appear like the end times, same with Vulkan.

I think they will take a break for loyalist primarchs but the traitors should keep rolling because they’re interesting and they don’t shake up the setting as much and make things more interesting

Nobody asks these questions about the traitor primarchs, who are not only almost all still around, but all basically immortal and unstoppable. I say let the loyalists have some fun, they need all the help they can get against the tyranids and necrons.

They should bring back other Primarchs but do it right. Slowly and carefully in their own story rather than interrupting a preexisting one. And Perturabo would be the perfect one with how little we have of him since he dipped out from the Siege of Terra and the Heresy as a whole.

It should be like that? A demigod returning to fight on the side of the largest power within the galaxy should shake up the setting... it's not a bug, it's a feature.

It seems pretty inevitable. Why would Gw bring back Guilliman and the Lion and then just kind of forget that any of the other primarchs even exist? Even so, there needs to be sufficent pretext in each case.

I think it should be every 5-10 years I mean they already set up lorgar and the raven But Perty robo needs some more love too especially when he can be the next big bad. Don’t bring Dorn back with him, keep dorn away a bit longer let the pencil pusher and the lion have a chance

Or you could do what they did to the silent king. A character that should have a greater impact than a primarch returns to the galaxy and then nothing much happens

I feel that returning primarchs risks the fragile grim overtone of the setting. I kinda liked how it was when the glory days of humanity were only a legend and the sons of long dead-super humans struggled vainly in the void.

At this point it is inevitable. Apart from the obvious ones who couldn’t come back it would not be out of the question. Out of 18 primarchs 5 of them are past the point of no return and are definitely dead. Horus, Alpharius Omegon (putting them together because they’re both dead anyways), Konrad Curze, Ferrus Manus, and Sanguinius

I think there should be at least 1 more Imperial Primarch to come back then the 3 reunite on Armageddon for its newest war. Then do a player driven campaign for its story. Will the 3 Primarch's overshadow this, I feel yes if the Imperium wins, but if Chaos or a Xenos factions win then it will take more attention.

The Khan would be cool to return as a mentally broken character who rebuilds confidence and his strength. 10,000 years of Dark Eldar torture would break anyone.

Eventually they will but then we have to think what will the other races get to equal out the power level? Ghazkull will become the Ork equivalent and well, Chaos has the Daemon Primarchs and Abbadon and Necrons have the Silent King but what about the Eldar, Dark Eldar, Tau and Tyranids?
