Hello! My name is Samery, I'm a 4th degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and I am a 6-time US Collegiate National Champion. I train in Sparring, Poomsae (forms), Nunchucks, and Bo Staff. My goal is to share as much as I can about this Martial Art that I'm so passionate about and I hope to inspire other martial artists.

What's your favorite event to watch? And is it also your favorite event to compete in? I think mine are different haha.

I think mine would be sparring and weapons. Sparring is my favorite to compete in.

For competing, I'd also say sparring! To watch, I'd say board breaks and poomsae because those are the two I'm always most nervous about doing myself XD

Nice videos and inside look at this competition I'm really upset with how i missed a lot of my martial arts training & learning!!!! been trying to get back in but it's just been very difficult!!!!

just start and do not set goal, its much easier to start without thoughts in mind the more you frustrate your self about how good you were in the past the worst it is to go back

It was very nice to go against Jon Vigil. I was his first opponent in the bracket. It was nice getting back into the sport again. I got a lot of ground to improve again but I am definitely getting back into the sport again. I had a lot of fun and definitely hope to compete with him again.

This was really fun to watch. Oh and congrats on being in the new Ninja Turtles movie Sammy!!! They clipped one of your Bo-Staff tutorial videos and edited that to show that’s how Master Splinter learned the Bo-Staff to teach Donatello. I’m actually serious. Did anyone else see Sammy in the new Ninja Turtles movie?
