Arne Slot is THE NEW MANAGER of Liverpool FC. The Feyenoord trainer prooved himself a good trainer after 3 years at Feyenoord. He will replace Jurgen Klopp who decide to take a sabbatical after almost 10 years at liverpool.
In this video i will give some insight in his tactics, and all the pro's and con's of Arne Slot.
The dutchmen Arne Slot won the dutch cup, the dutch league(eredivisie) and reached the finals of the conference league with Feyenoord. Because he did so well he deserved a shot as the new manager of liverpool.
he also beat some big teams in the champions league.
In this new series, I will give my expertise, analyse Arne Slots behaviour, his tactics and more. I will aslo compare him to Manchester United's Erik ten Hag.

Slot is not Ten Hag.Slot only buy players who bring something extra, not because they are expensive.Every player,even the subs,respect him and he is open and honest.Since 1970 we went every home game whit the whole family,now at58 we still go.Slot is no manager who blame someone when he knows he is wrong.

Really interesting analysis - thanks for sharing mate. Really interesting to hear your take on the charisma side of things with Slot because I have heard most people say he is a good communicator, smiles a lot, jokes, and does a good job of managing the characters/egos around him. But good to know maybe there is a more negative view on it!

Maybe i expressed it a bit wrong, his communication is good, his players love him. BUT most of them are young players, usually in their first years of professional football. In my opinion, players with big status, like Salah, a macAllistar that won the worldcup, all the other players that won the Champions League, why would they look up to him? He is a nobody compared to him. You see it quite often, when a manager comes from a smaller team, and the result are getting bad, they loose authority. - Garnacho liking a offensive post about Ten Hag - Graham Potter getting fired after a couple of months - Nuno Santo getting fired after a couple of months(Tottenham) I know you shouldn't judge someone by their looks, but he looks a bit like a softy to me, also when he is angry. Nothing wrong with that, but when you need to keep 25 full of testosteron alpha males together, you need to have some type of authority to keep them team together. But this is my opinion. After all i think he will succeed, he will find a way to fix his shortcomings.

To be honest, i don't think anyone is good enough. Some analysts are talking about Geertruida and/or Hancko. 2 centerbacks that both can play as a wingback aswel. They are okay, but not the level Liverpool should aim for.

Depends how long it will take to them to adapt to his playstyle, counter attacks are unavoidble, but you can reduce them with the right way of pressing (no overcommitment). Time will tell. Next week i will upload a video about ten Hag, explaining why when he was manager at Ajax, Ajax was one of the best teams of Europe, and the reason why it's not working at United. The same thing could happen to Arne Slot, but i hope not:)

@Timmyontheroad great video BTW dude keep the content coming because in England we don't know anything at all about this guy & don't really rate the Dutch league highly especially as so many Dutch managers have failed. However we still respect & recognise Dutch football ethos style of play & legendary players/ teams. So I want to believe in Slot I want him to instill the Dutch footballing philosophy.

@@jzazf6207 Thanks mate! The reason why most dutch managers fail, is because they are to stubborn, they only have a plan A (following the Dutch school/Johan Cruyff philosophy) but they are lacking a plan B. Slot always has a plan B, even a plan C. So i have high hopes for him!

@Timmyontheroad Does Slot hold players accountable? If someone doesn't work hard for the team, does he get the message through? Klopp really failed with Trent in this respect..

Yes and no.. with younger players he did it before, but it is easier to dissapoint a young player. But Feyenoord's striker Giminez was their star player at the beginning of the season, scoring a lot of goals. But the last 12 games Gimenez almost didn't score, and also was a ghost, didn't participate in their possession as well. But Slot let him play every single game, even tough other players deserved a chance at the striker position. So i don't know if he will hold his star players accountable..

I actually took a big sh*t before i was filming, so automatically wee'ed as well, i was quite relaxed, coffee wise i was just on my forth, when i usually am at my 14th at that time of the day. The flowers were bought that day at the flower shop, but if you don't like them, i will make sure i will change them for my next video. And oh, Thanks that you liked my analysis. 🫶
