COME ON HOLIDAY WITH US!!! WE'RE TRAVELING TO MERSEYSIDE TO SHOW YOU A WEEK OF AFFORDABLE AND FREE THINGS TO DO IN LIVERPOOL, FORMBY, AINSDALE, CROSBY BEACH AND MORE!!!
Like most people our holiday was cancelled this year, we love taking UK breaks but as our normal UK holiday of Cornwall and Devon was 3 times the price we thought we would go somewhere totally different and spend a lot less money but get to see some amazing things in Lancashire, Merseyside.
Have you ever been to Liverpool? There's so many amazing things to do as a family, all on a budget! Liverpool is a beautiful city, home to Liverpool football club - we took a stadium tour which was the most expensive thing we did all week but the rest of the activities were pretty much free, if not very affordable and on a budget :)
We were so pleasantly surprised about all the things to do in Liverpool and beyond, so I hope this gives you some ideas if you are also looking for things to do in Liverpool and affordable family UK holidays in 2020!

It really felt like it had everything there! The beaches were so beautiful, stupidly I didn't take my camera to some of the nicer ones but definitely reason to go back! X

Just 30 mins from where I live. I sometimes go in to Southport shopping. Lovely at Crosby, another nice place is Formby Point between Crosby and Southport.

A relationship. My boyfriend lives here. It’s a bit difficult to do touristy stuff with someone who is from here haha. I have to wait for friends to visit! There is so much to do here. The restaurant and bar scene is phenomenal. The architecture is amazing. A lot of historical dramas are filmed here. Lots of great free stuff to do too. Even just driving through the tunnels to The Wirral is interesting. Loads of stuff across the water to visit too.

I took my son there last year, he’s 10 and mad about the Beatles. We did all the Beatles attractions when we were there. We staying at the Adelphi which is really run down now but he was just so happy to know that John Lennon had been there and he might have even been in the room we stayed in 😉 Believe me the furniture has been there since the sixties. It’s a shame actually because you could see how grand it used to be.

I've been to the adelphi many times it definitely needs a refurb we stay at the Hampton I go every year I love Liverpool

mum to four bargain finds we went on a coach holiday which was amazing value. I think it cost £140 for me, that was travel down (I’m in Glasgow), 3 nights stay, dinner and breakfast! I just thought it was such a shame you could see how glam it used to be.

@@deemarie8647 if it's a coach holiday that's were you stay but we go in the car which is a 2 hours drive we stay at the Hampton but have been to many other hotels

OMG I couldn’t believe this my home is Southport .i moved away some years ago but really want to back .All the places you went to brought back so many lovely memories .I do still go to see family but it’s not the same as living their.X

I moved to the Wirral but will often pretend to be tourists and visit Liverpool of a weekend and do different attractions. The Wirral also has some brilliant attractions. Born and bred in Liverpool and still haven’t seen everything there is to see.

I live on north wales coast & chances are you could see Snowdonia or Anglesey as Merseyside is opposite us as when I was little I used to think it was Australia ( the other side of the world in my logic 🤣)

Looks like you had fun . We stayed in Crosby for 2 nights the year before last, there is a nice Indian restaurant and a retro cinema and got the train into Liverpool and did the Tate, The Beatles area, had a lovely Italian meal and saw Kate Rusby in concert ❤

I'm from Liverpool and lived in Southport for 17yrs. The whole of the Sefton coast is wonderful. I miss it so much. Live in Manchester now, it's no Liverpool but it's a great city to live in.

I went Liverpool on Sunday to Wednesday I wanted to do that museum near the Albert Dock but unfortunately it’s not open on Mondays and Tuesdays so I couldn’t do it Liverpool is beautiful city.
