EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SHOW ESPECIALLY THE CAST IT FELT TO WARM AND REAL LIKE WHAT PERCY JACKSON SHOULD FEEL LIKE (the documentary just sealed everything for me) as a percy jackson fan of 10 years this was perfect.

did any of you guys notice the "in memory of Lance Reddick" at the start of the credits? that means if they renew it for more seasons, they'll need another zeus. i also couldn't believe it, i was really praising his performance in the few minutes of screen time he had. RIP Lance

Damn, I really love this series, I need renewal for other seasons so quickly and I just really hope they'll make it in a decent amount of time so they don't have to change the cast, cause these kids will be old by then, cause I don think I can part with this cast, they're just way too perfect. I started crying when Annabeth hugged Percy at the camp and then started absolutely sobbing when all three of them hugged, I can feel your mention of Harry Potter vibes, it really felt like "I am not going home, not really" kinda moment, only Percy has at least someone at home who cares for him haha. I really don't want this to end. I didn't come to it with any expectations exactly, I didn't really have any check-list of things I wanted there (except few things, and the only one thing that didn't happen was that nobody told Percy the name of his sword) I was just coming into this with like "Rick is on this, his heavily involved, he's gonna make it right". And he did. The show is incredible. I am so glad they managed to keep that humour, cause I feel like the humour is a key element in the series, alongside great characters and story. They managed to satisfy both the book readers and the ones who didn't read the books. I can't wait for you to read the rest of the books.

I love this show so much and I'm waiting for the documentary and season 2 to drop ASAP!! Plus, they are my Roman Empire, along with Iris and Roman, and also with the keeper of the lost cities book series, TSTIP, and the harry potter book series! I love your reactions as always so much!! ILY!!!

Don't know how I never caught any of your reactions til now, but now I'm definitely going to have to go back and watch them. Because I love your enthusiasm and as someone who has loved these books since I was Percy's age, it means so much to see a new fan like you love this show as much as I do 💙 To answer your question, to me this series is everything we could've hoped for. It breathed new life into the story and characters that I already adored in ways I could've never imagined. It took me by surprise, and in doing so almost made me feel like I was experiencing it for the first time again. Almost, of course, because there were some moments that were literally straight out of the book -- including a couple quotes from this episode. Mixing those two things -- literal accurateness and new content -- was such an exhilarating experience. And every actor was phenomenal. They're all so extremely talented in their facial expressions and they're perfectly cast. I still can't believe this show actually exists, much less that we have an entire complete season now. It's unbelievable. Absolutely nothing in the world would make me happier than to get a season two.

I don't know if it's meant to be like that, but on a re-watch it sounds like Luke has a characteristic sound for his dark side, like Azula's chime in Avatar or Prowler's nasty guitar strum in Spiderverse. It starts around when Percy starts to piece things together, and only stops when Luke flees. It sounds like an ocarina, or.... an owl hooting repetitively in the distance... For book readers, you'll know why thatd be some insane-ass foreshadowing if thats what its supposed to be

I still don't understand why Luke listens to Kronos. Sure, he ruled over a golden age, but he ate babies. His own babies nonetheless. Someone who does that is meant to fail or go too far in his rule. Good leadership starts by being good to yourself and those of your inner circle. It's because of Kronos his parents and grandparents are the way they are.

If I was part of his world, I think I'd be a son of Zeus, evidenced by some quizzes I made. That, and a few fetishes mixed with thirst for power and manipulative compulsions. Why is Zeus black ? -Gods's human forms aren't their true versions. -...Ok, I get that, and the fact Zeus is a being of control would make him a big fan of "woke". But, aren't there other Pantheons in this universe ? Pretty sure I heard of other Riordan's books set in the same universe, but centered around other mythologies.
