I start by laying down a clean white towel, lint free and some texture to both pad and keep things from jumping about. That both protects and keeps things from disappearing. I use real nice not cheat tools, a proper sized screwdriver, magnetic. There are small magnetic pads to hold screws and parts, and a small plastic tray for parts too. Then i have a safe stable place and no people kids or animals jumping about. I’ve been tearing apart computers, instruments, watches, machines, you name it since i was a kid opening my dad’s watches. I’m 77 and love these thinkpads. Maybe some good glasses, and a strong desk light….this guy Sebi is one of the best on the Thinkpad series…Please, not to dis or criticize Sebi, I watch him all the time..Just suggestions to help you from loosing screws, and docking up your machines

Well, you could use an i7 9700t in a laptop, that's 35W with a TDP down of 25, even lower than what the t440p uses (37 and 47W CPUs), but the heatspreader on the DIE is THICC!

Hi Sebi, I’m a subscriber and I was able to find a new in box T440p for cheap. I’ve already maxed out the RAM and installed an SSD. I would like to upgrade to the IPS matte 1080P display. I contacted an EBay seller and provided my serial number. They responded with a link to a display panel identical to my existing one. I’d like to avoid any disappointments. How can I find the right upgrade for my machine that also isn’t overpriced and correct item? Thanks in advance for any advice. I’d also like to solve the whitelist issue affecting wifi. The existing card doesn’t see the 5G that’s available. I don’t want to risk bricking it. I’m aware that you’ve made videos addressing this. Regards

I have been using t440p for 2 years , and it is quite good (i7-4800, 16gb, ssd, gt730m). But it is heavy and cpu is a bit overkill for me i think? I am looking to lighter thinkpad. What models you guy is good ? . My need: ips screen, i5 is good enough, 1 slot ram for upgrade later , should be light (~ 1,5kg). I am leaning to t460s , is it best for money thinkpad out there?
