Күн бұрынMy livewell pump died on my and I replaced it with a cartridge style 750gph pump. I also added a intake screen to avoid debris getting sucked in to the pump. I go through some basic pump troubleshooting in this video as well.

I think 5200 is pretty tough to remove should you have to replace the pump again and I think 4200 is recommended for things that may need to be replaced in the future.

So I see you are able to rotate the unit which is awesome bc the information online says you couldn’t.

It looks like your Johnson 750 fills the livewell from the bottom. Do you have anything to prevent gravity draining or does the pump have a built in check valve?

There is a valve in the livewell to close the output so it can't drain back through

Can you use Amazing Goop (marine) instead of what you used?

do you have a video of how your livewell works? I have a Sylvan Backtroller I'm restoring. My live well looks very similar but had to remove the bottom drain. looking to some alternate DIY.

It was a original from 1997 and all the writing on it was gone so I don't know

+Dallas Dubois I used 3M 5200 for the live well pump sealing
