DISCLAIMER:
I worked with this amazing family on their farm for two months and although I show the amazing and wonderful time I had there, I would like to clarify that there are hours and hours of back breaking work that I did not include. The work is difficult but very rewarding which allows us to enjoy ourselves afterwards. We play hard but work harder! You have been warned!
So excited to share my first WWOOFING experience as it was some of the best months of my life. Living and working on a family owned organic farm in the Trentino region of Northern Italy. Grazie all a famiglia Turri per questa esperienza fantastica :)

Everything looks very exciting but one thing concerns me - the language. I would loove to go wwooffing but I don't know italian... because I hear you talking italian and it opens up a different level of communication with locals as I see

Hey, you don't always need to speak the language of the country you are visiting. You can check if the host you want to have can speak your language too.

My daughter is thinking of doing this and Italy is a place she’d consider. How much money do you recommend budgeting for things not included in the stay? And what kinda of things do you need to spend your own money on? Looks like you had a super fun time!

Ciao! Super happy to hear your daughter wants to do this, and that you are supportive of her decision because it really is so amazing! As for budgeting, it is hard to give a hard number just because that depends on where she is and her spending habits but I can say that this kind of traveling can be done on a very low budget. On a weekly basis while wwoofing the only thing I am using money for is my day off (transportation and food). I would say on average though I am not spending more than 30 euros a week, some weeks I spend nothing, some I decide to go on excursions which will cost more. The biggest cost you find traveling like this is transportation from one place to another if she decides to do several volunteer experiences. I hope this is helpful, let me know if you have any other questions!

Thank you so much for watching!! I believe you need to apply for a tourist visa but it all depends on which countries you plan on going to and for how long. I wish I could be more help but I have a European passport so I didn't need one. Follow my channel for more videos like this :)

I heard the same from several people, and the truth is that it depends on how the host will organise the experience of the volunteers and also the motivation of the volunteers. Some people see volunteering abroad as a cheap way to go on holidays to other countries, some hosts know that and they organise things that way, so there is some interaction but there is no real deeper contact. Some other people have a different motivation to volunteer, something deeper, and looking for more meaningful exchanges and experiences. There are hosts where you can still volunteer in a more meaningful way, where people have a real deeper contact. I know at least one of those places because I have been there, it is called Nen Ekui, they have a KZfaq channel where they expose things they do and the philosophy they follow: youtube.com/@nenekui But in general I agree that it is difficult to find meaningful experiences.
