As a 39 year old South African pan African man. I am so happy to see this. When i was in my 20s, the differences in culture were too glaring. With the internet, we are bridging the gap. The younger generation have their own subculture. Good job my girl

Ah, listen, our democracy has made us comfortable. It is not a bad thing at all, but the downside is that majority of us are not well-travelled. Even worse, there's those who grew up in one village, schooled there, high-schooled in the next village, went to varsity in the same district or province, and married a local girl. I think the problem about these youngsters is that they are speaking of their lived experiences and things that some of us South Africans do not want to admit. I'm in my 30's and shocked at the vast difference between us and the South African Gen-Zee's. Perhaps depending on where you grew up, the general climate was respect and being cordial. You can't do that with many of these kids now, okare it bothers them to acknowledge that not everyone is a peer. And it is really funny to witness the ignorance of some South Africans hoarding iup on artificial colonial borders like African countries sprung up the way they look now. If only you knew how we looked before they cut us up only to stitch us up in all the wrong places. Many of you are despising your own brothers and sisters, yet many speak nothing of European foreigners who literally own this country. But anyway, ba tla re we talk too much. Just by the way, the Western belt of Africa holds royalty. Before artificial countries, there was Negroland. But then again, our amazing education system can never teach you history. This is a beautifully done video. These youngster's parents make me think of my own parent, even now there's things I wouldn't dare say or do because of my upbringing. Unfortunately now we have in the majority, a buddy-system parenting.

Im actually shocked at what these youngsters are saying about our kids. First of all, the issue of "ukulumela" i thought its still done in all households, you will not just say "hi" to an older person, hi what, dog? The second issue of icurfew? My daughter who is now 37 years and only hadva child at 35 years old, had a curfew until 21 years old. Greeting, that also, at work i fought with other races because they dont know how to greet. SAn parents you're dropping the ball i must tell you, and nizokhala.

I'm with you there, also had a child at 36 and always had a curfew. But also, I feel ukuthi these kids are lying in certain things they said about our country...remember it is unfashionable to compliment South Africans nowadays, yet they still will choose to stay here over going back home.

@zipporahyourexplorer4891 you are absolutely bias, the kids shared their experiences giving both positive and negative remarks... Funny enough SA had more positive remarks than their home country proving the reason they live here... Stop being judgemental and watch the video with open hearts.

@@dirxtope I wouldn't have watched the video at all if I didn't have an open heart. You actually seemed very disappointed every time they had something positive to say about SA and couldn't hide it. Maybe you should apply your own advise to yourself and have an open mind about the country that has hosted you almost your entire life and quit the negative Nigerian mentality that your parents fed you about our country. The half Nigerian, half Kenyan girl was very bias and spewed nonsense about almost everything. The less she said about amapiano the better cause clearly she doesn't understand the genre enough to comprehend the lyrics, which is rather embarrassing since she doesn't even wanna set foot back in the country whose music she will die for 🙄. I've given this enough attention than I would've loved to. Enjoy my beloved God given, most beautiful, most talented, to die for country ✌🏾

These people come here but still speak down on SA ....Obviously south african vibe is not the same as Nigerian vibe , South africans are not loud and we dont like loud people...south african has highest purchasing meaning we afford things but we are just not loud in what ever that we do...SA always represents internationally not only in music evem sports , films and in politics we are just not loud .....we believe in staying and fighting for betterment our country we want economic liberation we believe and making sure that our country is clean and functional...Theres always steteriotypes attached to certain people just like how other africans mostly nigerians see south africans as lazy! ...South africans have rights such as freedom of speech , expression etc , SA we are very free people not stuck in old ways of life that much....When that girl says SAns do bad things and they know Nigerians parents wont allow them i wonder what are those things , remember SA is not a village we live a mordern life we are open minded here ...that girl who said amapiano is just beats she should have just shut up , she knows nothing amapiano has meaningful lyrics and its really tiring now amaoiano this and that is sickening...If SA is bad you people wouldnt be here abd still adamant about staying here , Just admit SA is way better than ur countries theres no need to have empty pride...Its not our fault that you come from backward countries and pls stop comparing yourselves to us

Why are you so pained, are you sure you can comprehend anything at all? no one talked down on south Africa. They just said the truth about SA. Nigerians are loud that is their nature, SA are not that loud, that is their nature. SA are not that friendly and they don't really like foreigners , we all know that, I have never been to Nigeria, but I know they are very friendly and they say what on their mind, because I work with them in Dubai and also in the UK. Me personally Amapiono is mostly beats, which is not bad, but afro beat is beats and lyrics, it more enjoyable. Nobody is dragging who is the best , they are just giving their opinion based on what they have experienced from both countries. So just relax .
