I have a dual citizenship from the U.S. and Costa Rica and have been in a 3 year relationship with my girlfriend who lives in Cartago. Watching this vid got me more inspired and I'm close to buying a ticket to go live there in 3 months. I gotta do it, she's been trying to convince me for the past year. Thanks for this video, I really enjoyed it!

Great video guys. My wife and I moved here almost two years ago from Canada and Costa Rica truly feels like home. Our families didn't and still don't get it but we do. It is a fairy tail. Keep up the good work.

Michael is amazing. My husband Colton and I were lucky enough to rent his Tico house in La Fortuna. It was a great place for a great price and we got to see more of him than expected. As seen in his videos, he's awesome and honest so you can get some real opinions and answers from him. We can't get Costa Rica out of our heads ... and can't wait to be back. Hopefully for good!

Could you please tell me the different between and "ex-pat" and an "immigrant"? Is an ex-pat someone from a rich country who moves to a poor country; and an immigrant is someone from a poor country who moves to a rich country?
@TravelCostaRicaNOW
@TravelCostaRicaNOW 8 жыл бұрын
yes, that pretty much sums it up.
@TheStormyday
@TheStormyday 6 жыл бұрын
Maybe it is how you see yourself, but if you move to another land you are an immigrant, and if you still want to connect with your last country, the "ex-pat" element is added onto that. I feel even more affection for homes of my past where I didn't have much, but was happy, and it could be something to share with others from that neighbourhood. Why the negative spin, guys?...
