It makes you realise how modular the 37 pattern webbing was. Each ration pack fit into one mess tin and there was a pocket for each of the mess tins in the 37 pattern haversack.

I reviewed a modern British ration on my channel and the box ration still have the boiled sweets, Can't remember of the new bag rations have them.

I would have thought that the ration pack would have contained so form of vegetable or source of vitamins, was there a reason this wasn't included back then? Was it difficult to preserve that sort of product, or is it because it is purely a 24hr ration pack and not intended for long term use?

Is it just me, or you expected to hear next, "Alright, let's get this out on a tray! NICE!"? I watch too much ration review videos.

Man.. idk about all those boiled sweets. I'd have nightmares in the trenches about opening rations that were only made of them since I'm not a fan. Probably. Who knows, maybe they were good trading fodder.

I count 14 biscuits. Menu states 10.

I avoid the oxo type cubes as a drink because they tend to taint the driinking vessel. Better crumbled into the meat cube broth.

That type of toilet paper is horrible to use! From bitter experience.
