I love how you have designed the van. You’re a lovely young lady, inside and out. Here is my opinion, for what it’s worth. I don’t watch van videos to watch people cook in their van, especially listening to them chew next to a microphone or talk with food in their mouth. I love seeing where people park or camp and how they found such spots.

I lost my mom in 2018 so I know exactly what you're experiencing right now, it might be helpful for you to know that I feel for you alot atm 😢😊

Maybe get wire or reg baskets and screw them in to the wood for the books, or water container then add Velcro on bottom of both. That should hold your stuff in place. I’m a new subscriber. Have a good day 😁😀

Hi, sorry to hear of your Mum's passing, we lost mine during COVID, she was 87 and in hospital from a broken hip, my Dad had been sorting things out so she could go home, but she took a turn for the worse in the early hours of the morning, my Dad didn't get there in time to be with her or say Good bye, but this happened to a lot of people. Just a thought about your water bottle which I really like by the way, you said it slides around so you have to move it while your traveling, you could build a box that is 3 inches high on all 4 sides, then cut a slit out that allows for the tap, you could use the metal brackets that you used for your self unit that could be seen under the counter, then screw the bottom of the box to the shelf where it stands now, if the 3 inches is to high to be able to lift it out of the box, make it a bit lower maybe at the side, not the front because that is the direction it would slide going round a corner, or make it so the front and back sides are longer so the left hand side can be fixed to the bottom with a couple of small hinges, then put bolts at the top of that side front and back, then put holes for the bolts to go into on the front and back pieces of wood on the inside, so when the side is pushed up, you just slide the bolts into place to hold the piece of wood up, so when i the side is down you can easily slide the bottle out to fill it then back in. Anyway just a thought so you don't have to move the bottle from where it is. If you don't want to go to the trouble of making or having a box made, you cold get a couple of bungee cords, they sell them in different lengths, put a piece of non slip matting under the jar, it looks like there is a piece of wood between the jar and the wire baskets, fix two strong hooks to the front part of the wood, top and bottom, and 2 more at the back of where the jar is, top and bottom, then get 2 bungee cords, they sell them in different lengths, cilp one top and bottom at the back of where the jars is to the wood, bring round the front then clip to the other hooks. You need to make sure they are tightish or they won't hold the bottle still. Bungee cords are great for holding stuff down and they stretch quite a bit. You can get them from Amazon or shops that sell stuff for cars. Out of the 2 ideas, I like the box, but that's my choice. Question for you, does Ruby travel on the passenger seat whilst your driving with a dog seat belt?? She must be a great comfort to you at night. Enjoy your travels, I live in the U.K and we can't do this type of camping, we can only stay overnight at proper campsites, we're not allowed to park overnight in shop carparks. Lorries can park overnight in service stations, cars can stop for a couple of hours, I think it is up to 4, but that is all.
