Hello! I can’t believe I’ve been living in Phoenix, Arizona for almost 3 years now! A lot has happened since my first “What it’s really like to live in Arizona” video. I grew up in Az, Mesa to be specific. Granted it was the 80s and not Phoenix proper but I loved living in Az. So much so that I’m moving back. I was lucky that my schools were great and that I got to go camping all the time. It was awesome! Also? Keep your chin up, not everyone from Az is racist or supports those ideas. Some of us are vaxxed, boosted and wear masks even. For the haters: I was born in Az, lived there 18 years and now live in Texas, and yet my little blue dot self is coming back.

You're such a joy! Just found your videos. It's really nice to see some more for lack of a better word "liberal" , honest, and compassionate viewpoint. I'm looking at moving there sometime later this year and was a little disheartened to think I may not find any like-minded people there. Sad some people are leaving you nasty comments but, good on ya for keeping going!

Thank you for your honesty, I’m trying to decide between Arizona or Las Vegas, or perhaps neither one. I’m in San Diego now, it’s so beautiful here, perfect climate too, but also extremely costly to buy a home. Thus the reason for looking into other states and cities. I’m really torn about Arizona, and having watched your pros and cons video, I’m still on the fence for the reasons you mention. I am enjoying your videos on AZ though, so thank you again!

I grew up in Phoenix, and am in my 20s now, and I loved growing up here. My best memories from childhood are nighttime swims and family hikes/walks on Sundays. We were always spending so much time outside! There are areas that are more family friendly than others. The neighborhood I grew up in had a ton of kids and we would bounce around to each other's houses. And on education, I went to a private school, so I can't speak on the public education, but I know there are many private and charter schools around, and there are scholarships. Many people I know who are now sending their kids to school are sending them to charter schools.

Okay that is funny that I just happened upon your one year update right before watching this one. Then for it to turn out you had just posted this one within the last day is so cool. Very helpful videos! I just need to know how often have you seen snakes ? Did you see them more often living in Scottsdale or Phoenix? Also what about Scorpions ?

No where near ready but, I wanted to move to AZ after I finish college here in Cali and waiting just seems like the best because I know prices on everything are sky rocketing 😅. I’m still deciding between AZ or Las Vegas. I’ve been here in California all my life and I just want to leave so bad to get a fresh start and be on my own but I’m scared because I never really been on my own. We’ll see though ! Love these videos, very informative.

I was born in chandler but moved to pennsylvania before I could remember anything about it. I went back to az last summer for a few days for a funeral and instantly fell in love. I just committed to spending my summer in the mesa/gilbert areas for an internship, and I'm very excited. Although, it is an incredibly different scene from what I grew up in, so I am super interested in seeing how the community differs from what I'm used to.

Just wanted to let you know the market for houses won’t “crash” it may decline a bit but inflation, supply/demand are going to retain the market. Understand that if you want that crash to happen, that affects the entire economy of our country and banks will tighten lending + raise rates = less home you can buy. I’m in SoCal but I grew up in both a Conservative and Liberal towns. 6million people voted for Trump in CA, whereas only 1.6Million in AZ. As someone friends with both “sides” at the end of the day were all human and when it matters people do care and take care of one another. The minority are just the loudest but i know people who are super caring but psycho to others. I’m planning on trying out AZ since i grew up in SoCal desert but now I’m 20 miles from the coast so it’s definitely gonna be an adjustment after 2 years to get back to those 100 degree+ days

I live in Arizona born and raised and I subscribed when you said "Get fucked" 🤣 I trash arizona almost daily lmao this pandemic makes it way to easily to trash it even more. Winter in great though but it's expensive af and yeah some of the people are just terrible here.

Listen, I won’t leave a nasty comment but I will just say this. Arizona is a state with a strong conservative culture and that’s only going to increase as more conservatives move from blue states to red states. People are moving to places where their values are better represented. That means that red states like Florida, Texas, Arizona, etc are just going to get more red. If you do not like the culture here, I sincerely suggest moving somewhere where your liberal values are better represented. I really mean it. Not being mean or anything. This state isn’t going to change.
