Chandler! I love living in Chandler. It is a great place to raise a family. Chandler is really well run. Thanks for the great video. Proud of my hometown.

I am in Mesa and the home next door to me is renting for $2400 a month. A major real estate correction is needed in this area. This is not sustainable long term based on income levels. Local landlords are beginning to see this as more corporations are renting and lowering rents. My neighborhood is full of rentals now with four to six occupants per house. This is outrageously expensive since the pandemic. Trust me , a major correction is looming right around the corner.

It’s crazy how much it has changed in the last 4 years! The corporations have made home buying much more difficult. How long have you lived in Mesa?

@@movingtophoenixarizonaeric I have been here since 1985. I remember when homes here were the most affordable in the country. People flocked here in droves and could afford to buy here and live here very comfortably. Especially retirees. Now things are very different. I see coworkers and neighbors moving to Texas , Virginia and the Carolinas. We have become unaffordable and it is only getting hotter. Monsoon storms would roll in like clockwork in July. Not anymore. The heat island effect is so great that those cooling storms in summer can't even get in. I remember cool nights in the summer. Now the pavement releases heat and keeps temps above 100 well into the night. It is no longer what it used to be. Rude people , traffic , high prices. We have become California. We all knew it would happen as far back as 30 yeas ago. I no longer consider this a good place to live. Those just coming here now have absolutely no idea what they missed.

@@utistudent099 I can imagine - even a few years ago homes were affordable for majority of the valley. That’s true they don’t know what it was like, but overall we love it here. Especially coming from the Midwest with awful winters!

@@movingtophoenixarizonaeric maybe in a few years. I’m thinking of Tempe. So, I was looking for more information on that area. I guess, it would be considered south part of Tempe. like not by ASU because ASU is like above the river, but like Tempe below the river/ over the bridge lol.
