Yes , I agree P.Y. The social interaction between Germans and other Residents in personal and private Spaces is indeed a lot Better and much relaxed in Germany than in England. Because if the Locals in Germany like you , then they like you . But you have to earn their trust, because after all they trust you to come into their personal space, right? So visiting or meeting each other or cooking at each others home is very much common here in Germany. My Son studied in England and has lived in London for the last four years. I witnessed that the English and the Expatriates work together, go to the Pub or Events together. But the only time they would let anyone into their personal Space would be obviously to get intimate. So in my opinion their overt Politness as a kind of Virtue can not be understood as a welcoming gesture, it just maintains peace by protecting personal space, which is obviously important to them.. thus avoiding possible uncomfortable Conflict moments which have to be dealt with

I'm of Eritrean parents, I was born in Germany and act like native Germans in terms of interacting with strangers LoL. I agree with your point

I live in Hamburg and have never heard of electricity and gas being included in the rent. You are amazingly lucky if you have found that! Otherwise what you say is true and it's good to hear your positive attitude.

Oh we did. The additional utilities go up and own yearly depending how much we use but, yup we did. To be fair our landloard is incredibly generous. But I do think a lot of the 'Warmmiete' include heating.

Brits are too polite to be honest, Germans are too honest to be polite. And another one: In Germany, being polite is optional. So on to the one about what you don't like in Germany.

Interesting video. just a small addidtion: childcare pre-schools are not everywhere free, but probably a lot cheaper compared to the UK or the US. In general the fees ore often different according to your income, and the maximum is limited to be a tree-figure per month per child, and often siblings have to pay less or nothing.

You are absolutely right. I live in Hamburg and its heavily discounted. I think we only pay about 100 euros a month. Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks for correcting him... You pay depending on your income and which state you find yourself in. The highest can be like 450 to 550 Euro monthly, if you're earning more that 60k monthly... The less you earn , the lower you pay. Great video but you were generalizing a lot of your information. Going deeper into facts will reveal different picture...

Currently confused about relocating 4rm Nigeria 🤦‍♂️, either Germany or UK & that's what got me here. I know ppl in UK tho but I just feel like starting afresh elsewhere.

Both have their pros and cons. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit AVOID Germany, UK is the place for you. If you are looking for a good quality of life AVOID UK especially London. Germany is more calm and peaceful, UK on the most part is more hectic and fast paced.

German is hard to learn.I would love if you chose Germany, but if you know english,UK would be much easier. Relocating is already hard enough.

I don't see a different race just a darker skin and i don't care. That doesn't define who we are 😎 Grüße vom sonnigen Niederrhein

We must be careful here. Just because "race" is primarily a social construct, it doesn't mean that its effects aren't real - it can shape people's entire lives. So while saying "I don't see race!" or "I don't see color!" might be well-meaning, it sort of implies: "I am going to ignore the entire life experience of people from a different background than my own!"

Please see colour/race. Its important. But once you do treat the person like it doesn't matter. That is the true super power.

@@TheNameisPY for me it doesn't matter at all every new person i meet is a blank page at first.

@@CavHDeu That's not really how this works. We all have preconceptions lurking around in our subconsciousness - from our culture, our upbringing, from our peers, from the media we consume, and other daily interactions. And making snap assumptions about both things and people is a basic human trait - we simply do not have the processing power to start over with each person from scratch, and we can't ever know every single person's life experiences. The trick is to be _aware_ that we are making snap assumptions about other people - and using that knowledge, we should question our thought processes on whether we are really seeing the full picture, and be willing to second-guess ourselves. If we assume that we go into each new situation logically and rationally, then we will have failed before we even start.
