@Coco Brownie That's true. Although, I have to admit that black people in the Netherlands weren't accepting of my natural hair back when I transitioned in 2008. Fast wind, now the natural hair community is booming. Once we rock our natural hair more and form a front there's nothing people can say or do.

For a person of mixed race, from Amsterdam, Anna seems like a sista from down the street anywhere in the U.S. I mean that in the most complimentary fashion. This family has made quantum leaps in adjusting to Ghana. Kudos to them all 'round!

We will miss them if they leave. I’m not Ghanaian but I’ve gotten used to their contents. Whatever decision that’s good tor them and their kids should be their pick.

I totally agree with your home should be a stress free heaven! That is one thing I noticed living in Accra (even in brand new apartments) houses takes a lot of fixing.

GREAT video +Vanessa Kanbi. Coincidentally, you remind me of Rachel from a BET show called Caribbean Rhythm. It was a show in the 90s that promoted the Caribbean like you are promoting Ghana.

Lived in the Mid West for 6 years. Specifically, in Wisconsin for 4 years for my undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point and Minnesota for two years for my graduate degree at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Relocated back to Ghana in 2012 and loving it. Cheers.

I left the 9 to 5 lifestyle 2 and a half years ago and it god I hope not I have to go back to that life I will be depressed big Time. The feeling of being able to do whatever you want anytime you want is a gift. Now it is time for me to leave the country, why enduring the cold when I do not have to...?

If you build your house rather than buying it from a developer, things don't break down as much. This is because you have control over the products that are used in building your house.
