They still insist the colonialism is legitimate and sex slaves and forced labors were not explicitly executed by the government. Japan always claims that 1965 treaty between Korea and Japan concluded all matters, where two countries never saw eye to eye on the recognition of Japanese wartime crimes with Japan denying their illegal actions. Since they are illegal, the compensation for violating the law is still pending. Also the dispute goes on whether the treaty does not include individual compensation for victims' human rights. While Germany never forgets their war crimes and teach their young ones the atrocities during WW2, Japan distorts the history and hides their hideous past. The attitude hugely sets Japan from Germany.
