We've been trying to find a way to get stuck in southern California for a while, and when we finally made it here, we managed to grow a little community in the desert as well. How does this always happen?
It always amazed us how much we can enjoy a place seemingly so harsh, hot, and difficult for anything to survive. But here we are, in love with the desolation of the Mohave desert.

Your baby is just too cute! I have 2 babies under 2 and soon we will start our van build. I noticed your van looks very esthetically pleasing and no additional chairs. How are you strapping the car seat? I'm looking for ideas please help.

Hi, How do you deal with water inside piping when you are in negative temperatures? Are there any kind of heating system in water pipes to avoid freezing? Good trips from Brazil.

Hey friend. Sorry we're just seeing this. We don't have any issues with water freezing. The pipes we use are PEX B and they're all inside the vehicle, including our water tank. We have spray foam insulation and a diesel heater. We've been in sustained temperatures for weeks at a time at -13F and no issues.
