There is 2 options. 1. Because he wasn't looking nor paying any mind to the hole he simply did not care and thought it prob was done by his teammates to make the base more secure in some way. The jigg was up tho when he say someone moving in the hole. 2. ESP, he could (and probably was) ESPing. Tbh that is kinda terrifying, you boot up your wallhacks and the first thing you see is someone literally living in your walls.

(average) Rust players are NPCs. Young dudes who have instincts like a animal, look out for pray, catch pray, don't really think about it. It would be a miracle if they would have any visual conciousness. I mean the sole reason trap bases work is because 80% of the playerbase have godlike aim but are overwhelmed when they need to build a base bigger than 2x2 or god forbid use Electricity.

A lot of people play this game extremely competitively. Most of my friends played for efficiency, not fun, which was really fucking boring half the time. Normalize playing games like Rust for fun sometimes, instead of being a sweat.

@@54nnuAnd ironically, it will usually be the worst players that sweat the most. At least among my friends and their friends it's that way. Hell, my best friend has been playing an absolute ill amount of Dota, and he's pretty damn good at it too. He doesn't often pick troll builds or stuff like that, but he doesn't sweat like a pig either. And then there's a band of his friends from school. Most of them have around 2000 hours on the game, and they play absolutely terribly. Recently they've started playing with another friend of mine, and he's literally got only 200 hours, tenth of their time, and plays on their level. It's really funny to stalk them playing because it's always a shit show. And how do they see it? They mald and seethe and sweat like crazy, every time they loose they spend as much time arguing with eachother and blaming one another as they've spent playing the game.

I've had it before where some skinned items would randomly use a different skin, but usually on first login to rust and I think it was only on items that were skinned in the first place not vanilla. Definitely ESPing if he didn't log off between when he first came on camera and when he looked right at them when they were in there.

This video was everything I wanted the parasites video to be and more. It was fantastic, the reveal was especially great. @@clayxros576 silence your steps, maybe you'll be able to change camouflage according to your surroundings like in mgs3, maybe reduce the radius at which people can see your nickname/hide it completely something like that, I threw this out there as a joke, but there are probably ways of actually implementing all that stuff. Cardboard boxes could be substituted for metal barrels as well, fits the game more and that has been present in mgs (I know for sure 4 and rising revengeance had it, don't remember if it's in other games or not)

Idea: each time a clan logs off secretly expand their base making it bigger each time they log off. Another idea I had is to make a parisitized base, a base that looks like it has been raided but you are living in the walls, so when someone comes and starts living in it you can steal stuff from them.

To anyone saying this was a glitch. Yes the skin glitch is a thing however two things that make this an implausible explanation for how he saw them. First this glitch usually affects only certain items, most commonly player worn items like armor clothing and underwear. Sure it could happen to a place able however it is much less common, I have seen it happen to boxes and furnaces before, never a rug, the second more damning fact is his reaction to noticing them behind the wall, why did he remove the rug first before shooting at them? See if it was the skin appearing small and he could see them clearly his reaction would have been to shoot at him through the clear gaps in the rug no? why remove it first then shoot? I don't buy it, if it was a glitch and he could see them through the rug he would have had a different reaction and likely immediately started trying to shoot them through the gap no? instead he takes his time to stare at them, call his teammate in then remove the rug and then shoot them, suspicious level 100. You're totally right! he sees a heart shaped rug (and totally can't see the person behind it) but yet he has to remove the rug to see and shoot the person. Totally not esping big al has 2 alt accounts with gamebans on them by the way. :D

That’s why I came to the comments. It’s not just the intro that’s impressive, the entire video was very entertaining due to the intense amount of editing. I typically wouldn’t be able to watch an entire 45 minute video, but the editing made me enjoy every minute of this video.

I don’t play Rust however this video was awesome. The personalities, the humor, the editing, the gameplay. It’s remarkable that you can create content so enjoyably that I don’t even need to have ever even played the game to sit and watch the entire 45 minutes and enjoy every bit of it.

I've had it happen many times where the rugs will change skins randomly. Sometimes my forges, garage doors, and boxes will gain skins too. It could very well be a bug and Al was telling the truth.

Have a 2x2 with the center foundations raised. Put c4 on all the foundations in the honeycombing. Leave the base open/partially raided so people take it over. One click of a detonator and you can foundation wipe the 2x2 after theyve built it up for a few days

I think he could have genuinely missed the gap in the wall if he wasn't looking. I miss shit all the time that's literally right in front of me. I think it was the gap + human shapes/movement behind the wall that fully opened his eyes to it. We're more finely tuned at spotting movement and humanoid shapes than random colour/detail changes. Especially in something like Rust where PvP is the biggest threat.

@@tesseract5569 He didnt see through the bear. He saw through the heart rug. He didnt need to see through the bear, in fact he laughed when he saw the camera. The fact that he knew precisely a method to see through that specific rug is pretty indicative that he had that rug installed, and we saw later what it looked like with the heart rug on the wall and it was pretty fucking obvious it was see through.

Regarding the rug skin thing... I've had this bug before where I logged on in my base and all my doors had the minted gold skin (i don't own the skin, and nobody was living in my walls). I walked away for like 2 minutes and came back, and they were back to normal. Sometimes weird skin bugs happen like that i guess.

I love these videos. Only just started watching them today . Your choice of music and editing is superb and the concept is great To give big al the benefit of the doubt I have had skins just randomly change every now and again and other people couldn't see it or would get a different skin. That was a while ago as haven't played rust for properly for a long time
