Thanks Roger and Maureen. I was born on Vancouver Island and we lived there until about 20 years ago. Always fun to hear of someone who left there for a different life.

Thank you for watching and commenting. We always suggest to take advantage of the tourist visa to come down and explore the country by living here first for at least a month or two to see if the country will be the right fit or not. Costa Rica just extended the tourist visa for US, Canadian and EU citizens to 180 days so that is a great way to spend time in the country to explore different areas and lifestyle.

Hola Fernando. Gracias por ver el video y su comentario. Maureen lleva más de 20 años de vivir en Costa Rica y su hija también se quedó en Costa Rica y están contentas de vivir en el país. San Ramon también se esta volviendo en un atractivo destino para jubilados de otros países. Saludos

@@CostaRicaLaw y ya hablan español?, porque es que muchos estadounidenses se van a vivir a otro país,si me puedes ayudar con esa duda,si yo viví en la capital de San José,y compre dos terrenos aquí en San Ramón,y no lo cambio por nada🇨🇷

@@fernandobreneszamora222 Creo que se defienden bien con el español. Algunas personas tienen mas facilidad para aprender idiomas que otros. Si es importante para adaptarse bien al país tener un conocimiento del idioma.

I have seen some sea salt farms in the Pacific coast but I personally don't know anybody I can provide a contact for.

WOW - we truly want to GO BACK and live in Costa Rica permanently ! However, we're waiting for the "pensioner law" to be enacted before we ship our car and personal items to CR.

Thank you for watching and commenting. Yes, I am getting a lot of questions about the implementation of the new tax exemptions for the Pensionado, Rentista and Investor status. We have a new government in office so now that task will fall on them. We shall see if they give this a priority. At the moment the tax department is under a ransomware attack which is causing havoc inside the department so they are busy dealing with that at the moment.
