This apartment looks like it’s been caught in a gang-related territorial dispute, but perhaps its a bad idea to judge a book by its cover… especially in Manhattan New York City.

You lost me at 6th floor walkup, and the graffiti clinched it. They installed the washer and dryer because the previous tenant died of a heart attack lugging their laundry up and down the stairs, or maybe they fell down those dangerous stairs to the small roof deck. The kitchen is tiny and the living area is cramped. The "balcony" has just space for a table or a chair, but not both. For this someone who makes upward of $160,000 is going to pay $4,000/month? Not in my world.

No thank you; I wouldn't move into a building without an elevator. I cannot imagine trying to move furniture up those stairs to that tiny apartment. The place is not secure. I'm fascinated by NYC, and I think it would be interesting to live there for 1 year. I would be ok in one of these weird tiny apartments, I see it as part of the experience. But for now, as a man in my late 30s with a wife and kids, I'd rather pay a mortgage and all of my bills for the price of just renting there.. Lmao very true. Even though I am a disabled senior citizen, I deliberately chose a 3rd floor walkup to move to when my lease was up on my ground floor apartment.
