We started just like this 6 years ago. Doing water like this for a few months lets you plan EXACTLY what infrastructure you will need and where.

That's where we are. We don't have water yet. So we haul water in to wash dishes. We rented a portapotty. Our goal isn't to be offgrid but minimal grid.

9 years in. This I can tell you. 5 gallons of water @ 8.4 lbs/gallon = 42 lbs each. With 10% losses, you're still looking at ~38 lbs/arm.. That's carrying a dynamic load of 76 lbs, uphill, how far, how many times a day. That makes a man farmer strong.

I am sure that he could do it, but it did not look as if those 2 buckets were really full of water. They didn't look empty, but I don't think that they were full.

My military friends ask, why I don't join them on retreats. I explained that building a ranch cost a lot of money. The water lines, fence, food plots, the price of the critters. I tell my girlfriend. We could have gone to anywhere, just on the cost of the fence. She laughs and said nope. I like it here with my man, whiskey and my beautiful animals. I scored. ♥️ I was selling my other home in Wyoming and then I got everyone's attention. They assumed I was going to hold on to it for their bug out place. I did keep it. The value shot through the roof. Thank you California 😂
