Welcome to my "Asset Agents" KZfaq channel!. Today's In this video I discuss in detail Living on the Sunshine Coast Australia || Real Estate Agents in Sunshine Coast.
Moving to the Sunshine Coast seems exciting and daunting at the same time for most people. I moved to the Sunshine Coast Qld in Dec 2005. I came here with my wife Kath and 2 kids. We were a little freaked out because we had no real idea what it would be like. When we told our family and friends in Sydney we got a mixed response like “does the Sunshine Coast have a shopping center?” & “you’ll never make the sort of money you do now”. Moving to the Sunshine Coast - What to expect
Asset Agents is a real estate agency selling and managing properties throughout the Sunshine Coast from Caloundra to Peregian Springs, out to Montville, and every suburb in between.

I find it funny how people move up here and then live inside with AC blaring. It's hot and humid but the quicker you get used to it the better. Similar to the video we will usually set the AC to 27-28 in the house just to get some of the humidity out during Jan and Feb. House with a pool is always nice.

True. A few sun days this summer. Too many overcast pouring rain. Hate humidity. Weird weather this year. Some Victorians are not used to humidity heat

This was brilliant to watch. My family are looking to move over from England as soon as the covid pandemic allows us too. We visited this time last year and fell in love with the Sunshine Coast. Seeing this video has lessened some anxieties.

Really well explained. It's good to see a realistic video with someone who was from a city like Sydney. The video gives a good perspective of what life is like on the Sunshine coast. I hope the prices don't increase too much in the next couple of years, compared to Sydney, as I would definitely think of selling my Sydney shoebox of an apartment, for a large apartment in the Sunny Coast. 9 months of warm climate, makes the 3 hot months worth it over Xmas. Sydney is cold 6 months of the year. And Sydney beach water is even cold for swimming in summer. 27 degree seawater temperature sounds great.

Great video. We are a family from the UK, currently in the process of applying for a visa to move (hopefully) to the sunshine coast! Before we move I will have to secure employment which under the circumstances I know will be a challenge, however we are optimistic. Looks like the perfect lifestyle out there.

Thank you this was a wonderful video! Our Family is looking to move from Victoria to the Sunshine Coast (we have two young and energetic kids) my Husband is in the construction industry (hopefully plenty of work in that field) he is highly experienced and qualified so fingers crossed it wouldn't take too long to find work there! My Parents are also looking to move around the same time, they prefer the warmer climate and Victoria isn't the best considering the freezing cold months, 4 seasons in 1 day (they suffer from arthritis here) and it's also very dusty/lots of pollution. I feel that Sunshine Coast will be a healthier lifestyle! We want more financial security prior to moving and we're achieving our goals in terms of that, so we're not broke when we get there... It's very expensive where we live, our rates for a basic house are 3.5k per year minimum and living costs are very high. It also takes us 1.5 hours to get to the city, therefore we rarely go there. My big question is, would we be better off securing a home there now and renting it out as an investment before we move? That way we don't have to rent when we arrive... It may also gain some equity in the meantime? We've owned investments in Victoria and we know our stamp duty here is almost double, everything seems much more affordable in Qld.

Not right now. Accom is in crisis. Weather is shit at the moment. Last Jan/feb a few sun days. Lots of overcast and pouring rain. No summer daylight savings. Humidity until May. I’m from Melbourne staying in Woombye. Hinterland is boring but lesser crimes than the coast

Hello there, your videos and posts helped me a lot finally deciding where I wanted to move in Queensland, after 5 years searching. I’d love to see videos or posts about the best suburbs to live in Sunshine Coast and the most affordable suburbs to live in Sunshine Coast in 2021, since the market has changed a lot in the past two years.

Great. You really can’t go wrong in any suburb. It would depend on what interests you. If you want to surf all day and live in an apartment you are spoilt for choice. But maybe you want some land , for some horses and a vegetable garden. Your budget would also need to be considered

Make sure you have a job first. Housing is affordable but renting is very expensive. Renting is also a lot tougher compared with Melbourne. Mountain creek is a nice family friendly suburb but can't really go wrong close to Maroochydore and Mooloolabah.

Yes right now the rental market on the Sunshine Coast is bonkers. Its hard to find anywhere affordable. But when you do apply you are competing with a large volume of others also interested . This article can you give a guide on applying and how best to be approved www.assetagents.com.au/how-to-get-your-rental-application-approved/

Yep humidity is great for a while but after 10 years most people go troppo .. it’s draining and doesn’t matter how fit u are.. as u get older it’s harder to take unless u walk around in damp clothes. After living in the tropics for 40 years it took 4 years to adjust to southern Australia. My theory is people’s bodies are either programmed to be a “Bear “ warm bodies and don’t like humidity or more of a “Croc” reptile body .. enjoy the heat. Asthma suffers are better in humidity too. Yes, relaxed in Qld, no one cares about ur postcode..
