Thanks for this Jim....even tho you barely touched the tip of the iceberg of this horrid disease. It's been on hellava ride of uncertainty and outright fear for the past 2 years as such subtle signs emerged way back and we did just think he was being nasty...BUT...it's one of the hardest things we've had to deal with yet and heartbreaking to watch your parent deteriorate in this manner. Even where he is now he still had delusions of wrong doing there of outlandish things that don't happen....so sad...Now also we need to deal with my Mom ,Nana and her health issues which would be a whole other video. Dreadful to have to go thru this so PLEASE everyone, if you notice these changes have your folks checked soon rather than later. We begged the doc but he simply took too long to listen....

Jim, Thank you so much for making this video, I know it was very hard to do. It shows your compassion and love for your family. This illness among other things you've had to face has matured you beyond your years. As I listened I heard in the tone of your voice how much pain you feel every day, but you don't hold anything against your Grandfather, because of this being such a serious illness but it still very hard to try to deal with, understand and not only survive today but face tomorrow as well. I know there would have been days your Mom would have collapsed from the pain and stress but God Blessed her with an amazing son who was her strength then gave her strength. I know she can't imagine life without you, you are not just her son, you are her best friend. All of this is coming from someone who has 2 sons that has picked me up when I was in serious mental shape. We don't know what is around the corner for any of us. I don't know how long this disease has been around but when you think about it someone was the first to have it, number one, what their family must have experienced!! I am honored to watch you as you talk about everything you and your Mom has been through. But this is one of those life experiences, unless you've lived it, you can't imagine what it seriously is like. Your Moms heart had to be racing when her father came to her with a knife and I know she thanked God that she got it away from him before he got to you. This type of fear, pain, inability to fully understand why has to be lived like you and your Mom has done to fully feel how dangerous this disease is. I'm sure you both were trying to keep the family together until that happened. I'm so sorry for what you all have been going through but I want to thank you for taking the time to make this video, it will be a long time before I forget the stories you've shared to help others recognize the signs and symptoms of this disease. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Jim, stay strong, your strength gives your Mom strength when she's not sure how to move forward, you've been her rock. I've known your Mom for a lot of years, she has always been a wonderful woman. She needs you very much. God will continue to Bless you both. Thankfully his "stash" of money was found and used for his care....it's not cheap by any means so at least we had that to help
