I agree, but these kind of arms cost way more. I have a "realistic" myoelectric arm that cost the state between $4k to $8k (Great healthcare here, the state payed it all themselves). While one of these could cost up to around $20k, which you most likely would have to pay out of your own pocket.

I can not even find a reason why good looking prosthetics need to be more or that much more expensive. It is a shame if this is just a buiseness decision.

in my opinion the imitation hand looks more out of place than the robotic styled one.

30k the cheapest and for the bebionic arms in this vid, which is pretty silly but companies like open bionic are creating cheaper and more efficient bionic arms that can cost around 600 dollars since they can be 3d printed.

I'm not an amputee, but I too also believe that a bionic that looks very clearly robotic/mechanical look way better than a prosthetic that tries to look "real." Helps avoid that creepy Uncanny Valley feel with artificial skin.

Now its the price of a nice second hand car. 2) Don't see how it makes them OP compared to the average joe, unless you've got pictures of armies of terminators or Jaegers walking the streets on your mind. Well, our arms were made by millions of years of evolution. Not having to charge your arm is a big plus. And your arm is, at least for now, much more flexible and useful for a lot of everyday tasks. Also, no technological malfunctions, and your hand can't get hacked into. Getting rid of your perfectly good arm is a bad decision to make, in my opinion. And I would be surprised if they just started handing out extremely strong bionic arms. Humanity is unpredictable, and people could die if a psychopath got his hands on one. To clarify, I'm not against bionics. If you've lost a limb, then sure, get a bionic one! But don't get rid of a perfectly good arm just to get a shiny new bionic one. Plus, fingerprints! You might want to keep those. And good sense of touch! There's another one. And your reactions are much smoother and more natural.
