You've got yourself a new subscriber. Loved the video from beginning to end, it was a nice touch to share your settings, setup and gear. Quick question though: were the Aurora in the video filmed with the dji action cam? And are they quite visible to the naked eye when the KP index is high? Thanks in advance. I look forward to seeing your next clips!

Thank you so much for subscribing! 🤩 So happy you liked the video 🙏 The aurora was filmed with my sony a7iii. They were exactly as visible to the naked eye as what you saw in the video 🤩 Incredibly strong in colour and dancing across the sky 💚

Last time i was there, in Longyearbyen.. was in 1999. I miss that wild landscapes a lot!. Only 2 times on harbour.. most of the time on ship, fishing. Oh... the auroras.. the stars.. Lots of stars!! All in a crystal clear night sky like I had never seen and have never seen again. Remember saw there the pass of comet Hale-Bopp.. What struck me the most about that trip was seeing a comet pass by in a crystal clear sky framed by northern lights that danced above me like a veil of fine gauze, green, pale blue, or even sometimes bright orange or fiery red. Spectacular! Greetings from Spain!

I love the Northern Lights. One of my favorite memories is Dad waking me up to take me outside to watch them. Where I live, we are very close to the mountains on the North side of town. This is great for the Southern exposure to sun year round, but not so much to view the lights in the North. However, often enough the Aurora are visible way South of the pole and visible right over town. So we all get all goo-goo eyed when then are visible. Because the lights are so changing, a person never gets tired of watching them. Thank you for the videos!

The lights are beautiful C. I live in south central New York State. Years ago in the early 90’s I got to see them. It was in March, very cold. We had a TV antenna on the roof. The reception was acting up so I went outside to see if something was going on with the antenna. I went outside and was blown away by all the big, beautiful colors! It felt like I was in a cathedral. We live out in the country so it was so dark but so clear. I saw them again a few years later . Same month of the year. Haven’t seen them since. Couldn’t believe they appeared like that so far south. A real treat.

Hello! I'm new here. This is my first video about auroras. I have collected photos of it before. Didn't know, that it can actually change colors. Amazing, thanks for that. I have heard of a similar condition at sea. Don't know the name of it, but it is a self-illuminating art of plancton. So areas of the sea can shine light blue at night. I've seen that in the film "Life of Pi" for example.
