THE TITANOMACHY: FIRST GODWAR: TOLD BY ZEUS
ACT ONE -
This video entails the beginning of the Titanomachy. A ten year war amongst the Titans and Olympians, different generations of Greek Gods. Chronos, the leader of the Titans and ruler of the universe was challenged by his children, Zeus and the Olympians.
Very little is actually known about the Titans, as they were more a footnote to the gods of Greek Mythology. There was a poem dedicated the events of the Titanomachy, but it was lost to the sands of time, and so we have taken what we know to make this video.
Living Mythology is an attempt to entertain, relax and educate all in the one place. We are trying to forge narratives so that people can experience the religions and mythologies of the world as they were meant to be. Not as dry academic monoliths, but as living breathing tales and parables as experienced by the peoples who worshipped these beings, in an attempt to make sense of their own lives and the world around them.
This channel is in its infancy, so we hope to improve and develop it as we gain more experience.
All of the tales are taken from very conflicting traditions across many centuries, so there will be many a moment when decisions need to be made to create a more cohesive narrative. If we present something that seems to be in contrast to details, rest assured we have researched many forms of the traditions and come to the conclusions we have done to form the videos.
There will NEVER be total agreement on any of these narratives due to the history and differing ways they developed over the centuries.
These videos are for entertainment and an easy gateway to the subject. If you wish more academic details then please direct your attention to the wide source material and others who perform those types of academic video essays.

We, homosapien, have been around for 250,000 years, give or take. As depicted by the the Greek religion of 3,000 years ago, the gods of Olympus fought the titans, who ruled before them. Before that, the titans had outdone the primordial deities under the rule of Ouranos, who ruled before them. And so forth, and so forth. How far back do these lines of succession go? I wonder about those older stories of bygone divine wars for sacred supremacy, which would usher in a new hierarchy for a fledgling religion, but my imagination is all I have. We are such a creative species.

As far as I know it began with the primordial god Chaos, which was the darkness upon which the world would float, and in which Gaia arose. From there you know the story, as Gaia gave birth to and wed Ouranos. So life and the gods starts and ends with Gaia, and outside of whose lineage there is only the void eternal; Chaos. In my imaginings, without Gaia there would only be the cataclysms of plants smashing into eachother, stars exploding over millennia, no life or order or reason. Where Gaia comes from it never seems to be clear... she merely manifests, giving the sole purpose of life and living to the inert matter of Chaos. But then, we're talking about fitting ideas created before we had the modern concept of the universe in its vast, seemingly unending physical and metaphorical darkness.

Interestingly enough, The Bible also speaks of a "War in Heaven", A clash of the Gods sort of thing, between God and his Angels and Lucifer and his Angels.. It intersting how all of these concepts are found in all parts of the world and cultures..

You don't have to rely on imagination. the pieces, the clues, the stories are all out there. but you do have to use your imagination and observation to put the pieces together in a way thats true to factual history of the events back then.

Sir Baldermort and Lady Lightbringer, this has to be one of the greatest moments of storytelling on this platform. The music descriptions, images, and even the minor details, paint a picture so vivid, you could almost see it as a full length feature film. You have truly outdone yourselves on this project. I was worried this would not come out, as I haven't seen many updates. But now I can see the scale of it. Take your time. Rest and relax for the holidays. Only a few minutes in and this might be my favourite video on KZfaq already… I have never met, digitally or otherwise, two souls that understand storytelling, beauty and the human spirit as well as you two, and I do not flatter when I say that. Something about the beginning of a pantheon, a world in the wake of its primordial humours enchants me to no end… especially of young beings and gods, before they become jaded or insular, setting out into a horizon of possibility and creation. I often think of the formation of a human mind in the same way, especially in childhood or after hitting rock bottom, and like to imagine the stories being similar or a microcosm of the human soul, which I do so hope exists as more than a pretty word. And you both do such a brilliant job of telling it! I’ve fluffed on nostalgically enough…. I’m at my own rock bottom now, I’m ashamed to say, in a mire of my own neglects and problems. I failed to save my own Lightbringer, and the outlook is so dreadfully dark and cold outside of my cave. Wish me luck, Mr and Ms B… I’m going to go see if I can kill some monsters and rebuild. Thank you for all your stories from the start, and for your patience reading this. If Heaven is real, I can’t imagine it being filled with anyone other than people like you. If it isn’t, and if only my worst fears are out there… then I refuse to go gently into the night, and I’ll kick them in the shins first. See you around. I’ll try to do everyone proud.

The story of baby Zeus escaping Chronos reminds me of the storyline in Willow. Elora Danan was the baby's name in Willow. She was a princess who it was prophesied would destroy Queen Bavmorda. She also escaped through the help of a midwife.

The war of the titans atless made a deail with hatties he needed to be stopped odin was there and thor was there fighting that war go to Egypt I am hotep the true father of enki also known as coronos hotep a lier and murder he was saying he and his followers was a woman when that were a man witc was the war of the sparters the war of the sparters keep fighting fore hotep was the wone who originally created the matrix so this war keep going on but each time a little diffrent the sparters took cronos / hotep brother the won who controlled his brother with the markings controlled the war when thay took cornos / hotep brother cornos became the first ghost but during this war cornos/ hotep failed to see his brother in the front lines when he claimed he was god everyone to bow down to him coronos / hotep brother knew he had to stop his brother but cornos / hotep killed his owne brother whilst his brother was dead he refused to die and it was granted to him so when he woke up from the dead when others saw him thay screamed ghost for cornos brother became ghost number 2 he got married had children the first son of his allways inherited the name ghost the second son did not carry that name so if someone ever killed ghost number 2 brother and family then hills him he would wake up from the dead and seek revenge on the wones who done it fore 1 of my best friends who I cair about his name is ghost he's fo the ghost number 2 blood line coronos brother and he beleaves in Jesus and he knowes who I trolley am my true name is ODIN

Greetings Bald and miss Light,greetings once more,as I’ve said before both on this channels and 40k. I’m in tears,the myths I was told by my grandmother as a child,retold in such a grand and beautiful way. Even the small details,like the small details like the names of mountains,to the gods personality and fighting spirit along with mannerisms. An example of Hades being laconic and intimidating both in battle and speech. You’re one of the few that can name the great titans,thus miss Light. From the bottom of my heart,thank you.

I have read Greek mythology doggedly to understand these stories. But never have I heard the stories told with such theater and craft that it all felt so new, so fresh and so vivid. Cant lie, hearing the voice i so strongly relate to 40k talking about greek mythology was jarring at first lol. No shade being thrown, really a testament to the impact your stories have had than anything else. But as ive adjusted this is fucking incredible! Your style/talent, idk right word, applied to mythology is incredible! Also a huge fan of whoever the female voice actor is! Her voice has a certain....... 🤔gravitas, or maybe regalness?? 🤷‍♂️ That goes perfectly with these ancient fables!!🥰 Edit: Was so eager to praise the story told so far, 3 vids in i think? 'How couldZeus lose the engadgement with Nike herself as an ally?' Ahh but what is Victory? Also be ever mindful that this is a greek tale at its heart. Victory might come at a bitter price. It may come with being the last to die, or to rule a dead burned husk of a world. It may even come in death but ensuring your enemy will never enjoy their reign. So even with the abstract of victory herself, one must never be complacent.
