First of all, whoever's getting mad about you reusing wood has no taste :P But also, I LOVE that piano harp repurposing! (That part of the piano is called the harp.) We also have a piano that does not work. My MIL got it for free and it is supposedly quite old but is broken in a way that cannot be fixed. It's so lovely we don't want to get rid of it, but it's too big to be decoration on it's own, so one of my plans is to gut it and turn it into a shelf display. This is very inspiring for one of many options of what I can repurpose the innards for :)

This room looks absolutely gorgeous and the piano on the wall looks so freaking cool. I loved the "Cause I live alone and no one is surprising me, sometimes I like to do this thing where I DIY something at night, sleep, wake up and surprise myself". Rachel is just so funny and amazing. I am always in a better mood after watching one of her videos.

The terracotta and rusty oranges you used in this room and the bar are my favourite colours for home decor. I would use them through my entire house, every single room! I will definitely use this as inspiration for when I do my own bedroom. I love the texture on the ceiling, and that light fixture. Also the way you reuse wood and other items is EXTREMELY satisfying I can't tell you how good it feels to think of things not going to waste.

I used to live in Yucca Valley witch isn't too far from Joshua Tree. I used to visit the Joshua Tree Park on school trips. I think this room is amazing and just brings in a lot of what the desert is. There is limitless things to do because there is so much stuff you can fish for in the desert fields. I love everything you did, it makes me miss my home town :). Keep up the amazing work!

I’m new to this channel. Just stumbled across it by accident. So very inspirering - decorating with what you have: ‘this I found on my property’😄. So very relatable: decorating as you go. Doing things when you feel indspirered. Whitout a plan - love it😍. ‘A little on the eclectic side’; thank goodness for that. Like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Rich in texture and personality - absolutely love it😍. Also, love the fact that this is in the desert. Very exotic to me. I live in a cold climate, I can’t stand the heat. But I’m intrigued by desert living. This way I get a glimpse of it, without having to brave the tropic climate😄👍.

This is one of the more unique makeovers I’ve seen, I love the colored ceiling that reaches farther down and the light fixture, and the piano and thrifted shelf and the desk you made on the wall, only thing that’s off for me is the shelf behind the bed and how low the bed is, maybe if wood went all the way down shelf so not big gap behind bed then lay mirror on top of that shelf and raise bed little

I watch a LOT of creators on youtube that focus on interior design, DIY, etc... and after a while it gets a bit boring because they all seem to follow the same aesthetics and are quite conservative with what they do. NOT YOU! Your design sense is an absolute breath of fresh air, I love how you take risks and TRULY encompass what eclectic design means. Really Rachel, you are an absolute BOSS and your design sense is impeccable in its chaos.

I took a welding class at a craft school and the first thing they go over is safety… pretty much everything that could go wrong. When I finally sat down to weld the instructor could tell I was nervous and he told me that mig welding is like a hot glue gun for metal. That immediately put me at ease and he was right! Hope to see you and Brett working together more often!
