Cambage appears to be referring to reports that Storm forward Breanna Stewart re-signed to return to Seattle on a one-year supermax deal worth $228,000 a season. Liz Cambage earned a little more than $221K last season for the Aces, which put her in a seven-way tie as the highest-paid player in the league.
WNBA take home the minimum salary of about $58,000 while the minimum annual salary There are guys on each team making the NBA's minimum salary. You may be wondering what that salary is, and I can tell you I wouldn't mind this annual payday. For the 2021-22 basketball season, the league minimum for salaries is between $925,258 and $2.6M per year.
The total WNBA salary cap in 2022 is just $1,379,200. There is of course no salary cap for coaches and executives.

I think I've seen a grand total of a minute of the WNBA over the years, and that was likely while flipping the channels until the commercials I was watching on ANOTHER channels had stopped.

Can’t compare the NBA salaries to the WNBA. It’s all about tv slots, commercial ads, ticket sales, merchandising, numbers…. etc. Hypothetically, if one league is bringing in 10 billion a year and the other 60 million yearly ( accurate numbers)how can the pay scale be equal? It’s called profit sharing…

I find college more interesting because they played for the love of the game. When you add the money and the politics to it, it just seems to take away a little bit of the Is enjoyment for the players.

Wnba is the worst version of a sport. It's a good point that womens college basketball is more appealing and I have no idea why. Men's tennis and volleyball are also unappealing to me in comparison to the female versions which have more volleys.

The entertainment skill and entertainment level of the men's basketball (@ the professional level) is light years beyond the women's game. Men and women are different, and not equal, especially when it comes to athletics. If the people who run these female professional leagues understood and embraced these facts/truths about men and women maybe they could make the women's game more entertaining, marketable, and most importantly, profitable.

I think that they should lower the rim from 10’ to 9’2 “ or so, bring the 3 point line about 5 feet closer and make the actual court a little smaller dimension wise….. That should speed the game up…

Liz Cambage isn't doing anything wrong and that isn't messing her brand up. She's bringing in more money because the WNBA isn't paying the money that the women who plays in it deserves. She has endorsement deals also so that shows you that they don't see anything wrong with what she's doing either. Keep on doing your thing.

I've heard this before no one plays fair game when it comes to a game to any game everyone puts their money as a gambling thing on the game so you have to think better and educate yourself a little bit more once you do that then you're on your way to the top but you got to get in deep and not be afraid fear not so you can be I am the greatest that's the only best quarter for any woman

Even women don't watch the WNBA nobody wanna watch somebody do layups the whole game. To ask for more money your employer gotta be making some and they not making none. They are good for women but can not compare to men skill wise even in the slightest. If they gone do Only Fans just make it a lingerie league and maybe people will start watching it then!

You would think the Women in the WNBA would have gotten better but it get worse every year. The first 6 years was good..... since then its bad. They miss so many easy open layups like junior high school girls n boys. The Stars who was dominate in college isnt that good on the NBA level. They say Taurasi is the Goat, no she not. Only can shot 3s but cant dribble drive. Griner doesnt dominate at her size i see small guards at 5'11 take her the basket.... no way that she allow that to happen and she does protect the basket like she should. Stewart loss her mustard no longer dominated. We need a Sheryl Swoope,Cynthia Cooper,Kim Perrot, Tina Thompson,Teresa Weatherspoon,Vicki Johnson,Sue Wicks,Lisa Leslie,elisha Milton,Tamecka Dixon,Ticha Penichero,Ruthie Bolton,Tangela Smith, Yoland Griffith etc.

You get paid based on how much money you generate. 2 things: Women are less athletic than men and too many WNBA players are coming out. Fathers no longer take their daughters to the games.

WNBA problem is image , much the same way that Women soccer has an image problem. I can solve this image problem overnight, it is down to their attire which is basically identical to the men's attire. They need to wear more sexy gear, let us remember 90% of sport viewers are men and men sport viewers would enjoy watching female sport more, if the female athletes are attractive and have great bodies that are not hidden under baggy unflattering attire.
