Just when I had started listening to more of Angela Bofill's songs after her unfortunate passing...and then I see her amazing skills as a perussionist! WOW! You should check out her appearance on the Johnny Carson show in 1979. She sang, "I Try" and it's a vocal masterpiece! She breaks out SENSATIONAL "scat singing" that would make Ella Fitzgerald and Natalie Cole proud! WHAT?! There was no vocal element she couldn't do! I'm even more in AWE of Angela Bofill! Her voice, so sultry, magical and a 3 1/2 octave range! Ironically, I saw Angela Bofill's episode of "Unsung" on June 23rd for the first time. I did a Google search, hoping to read good news about her recovery from two strokes and was saddened when I found out she passed away on June 13th. My heart goes out to the Bofill family.
