Plácido y su profunda voz impactan aun mucho, no tanto por su edad sino por tantas presentaciones que ha hecho y que aun su voz sea tan auténtica. Dimahs es un joven virtuoso que siempre sabe estar.

This duet was my emotional meltdown. I grew up with Plácido Domingo and to see him sing together with my favorite singer Dimash was a dream come true. Not only for Dimash but for me too.

🗣️🎶 HE SAID When I was a little boy 5 years old my "Fadder" bring me tape my hero Placido Domingo... I listen.. my childhood dream I think someday I sing on BIG stage with Placido Domingo. Standing tall, elegant he looked down for a split second, up into Domingo's eyes and I saw a 5 year old boy, his heart in his eyes saying shyly.. I come here Budapesh....for you...Placedo in his 80s, I cried when they sang together. I cried again with you Liz ..God bless all little boys with big dreams..

Many bel canto teachers have verified that Dimash brings a crossover interpretation between rigid classical singing (which has to follow norms and exactly what the author of the piece wrote, from the notes and durations, the portamentos, the expressiveness... Everything) and more popular flexibility. For purists, let us remember that Dimash had the dream of singing with Placido Domingos since childhood and it was the Maestro himself, Don Domingos, who suggested the duet (he knew that even with classical training, Dimash would sing as a crossover between the erudite and the pop)! Dimash only had one day to remember the work and make the recording as this moment is part of the competition (like a talent show) for musically gifted children: The "Virtuosos"! Dimash, as well as Placido Domingos, were part of the Juri, accompanied by Erika Miklósa (opera singer), Adrás Keller (violinist, conductor and musical director of the Budapest Concert), Hauser (cellist), Plácido Domingos Jr. (singer and composer) , Pablo Sanz Villegas (classical guitarist), GAbriela Rachid (cultural director) and Harvey Goldsmith (music promoter)! The show was in Budapest (Hungary) from January 16th to 26th this year, 2024!

This was a dream come true for Dimash. He shared that at the age of 5, he had a VHC of a concert by Maestro Domingo. From then to now, Dimash dreamed of meeting and working with the Maestro. This was performed as part of th Virtuoso program that supports young classical artists. I am sure that Dimash appreciated the opportunity to be part of the jury at the invitation of the Maestro. We are so proud of him and hope that all his dreams come true.

Thank you from my heart for your reaction to this soul-stirring duet between Maestro Domingo and our Dear Dimash, who is my favorite person on the planet. To have had Placido Domingo suggest that Dimash sing a duet with him with such short notice, what confidence he had in Dimash! It is not at all unusual for opera singers to drop into parts with virtually no notice, and he knew the talent of Dimash, that he would work hard to be ready in a day. Perhaps it is not such a stretch for Dimash, since he has to learn songs in other languages in maybe only hours in some of the competitions he has been part of, AND his mother is a famous soprano. I remember well The Three Tenors in the 1990s. I have not been aware of Dimash but 4 months ago, and an instant Dear. Now, it feels like one of my dreams has also come true. I hope Dimash and Domingo sing many more times together. God continue to bless them and protect them with our prayers and highest admiration.

Two great tenors! Thanks for the Show for bringing them together. Domingo knew Dimash from his grand child, and he preferred the duet. It was heavenly, just as your dress or shirt. I truly appreciate it, like a dream coming true.

Hello. Very touching reaction, as usual ! Placido Domingo sang this French opera composed by Bizet for the very first time in 1964... Sixty years ago. Very happy for Dimash, who's definitely extremely talented. I suscribed. 😊
