We tried out a new campsite in Snowdonia recently and filmed a review to give you a flavour of what its like. Llyn Gwynant campsite is situated right on the lake and is a great location as a base camp for climbing Snowdon.
We would stay at the campsite again but probably not at the weekend as it got a bit too busy for us. It has a lovely festival feel when it is busy though so if thats your thing go for it!!! We didn't see any big rowdy groups considering the amount of people there so hats off to the site for keeping an eye on this.
The site do open extra loos and showers at busy periods but it still can get busy at peak times.
Food looks good and nice to have a bar open at the weekend to get some draught beers.
Kids would love this site and there are loads of activities such as great walks, water sports and climbing opportunities.

Snowdonia has so many amazing nooks and crannies that need to be explored first-hand. There's no better way of doing that than spending a few days away there! Fantastic video you should be very pleased with yourself!

Stayed here many times absolutely love the place use to stay here alot many years ago with my ex before they went up market with the fancy barns, weddings and takeaway food building/bar. Can't wait for them to reopen I need my camping fix 😂

Yes definitely give it a go! If you like a festival feel go at the weekend if not go during the week when its quieter. Happy camping Guys...

Thanks for watching. Ive just had a look and the FAQs say the following: "We can only accommodate single-axle caravans, and are allowed only 10 caravans under our site license, 15 on bank holidays. Planning restrictions mean these must be sited in Pen Helen, where we have bays along the hedgerow that can be booked, 8 with electrical hook-ups, see our Vans and hook-ups page for a map of where these are, and the Bay booking page for online bookings. There is a chemical toilet emptying point near the toilet block". Maybe give them a ring to see what the latest position is xx

We went in the July of 2019. Yes a great place although it was a bit too busy for us at the weekend. Hopefully we can go back this year, not sure what the position is for booking etc as it get pretty popular heh.
