@@Rainman... Yes, the engine is based on the lmp2 Gibson since 2017. The lmp2s sound amazing

The Cadillac V8 is probably a derivative of the old V8 used in the C7.R and old Cadillac DPI

Actually the Cadillac engine is new. It is a 5.5 litre, Crossplane, Dual Overhead Cam, 32 Valve, V8.

The Cadillac just sounds beautiful. And a not mentioned fact is that the LMDh all runn electric powered only when pit speed is activated, which gives a nice twist on these cars

Regardless of which is best, I love that they all sound DIFFERENT and make power in different ways. And they LOOK different because they are fast in different ways. Cannot wait until 2023...

I seriously hope that LMDH becomes mainstream. The variety of brands, sounds, and design languages is something we haven’t seen in motorsports in a long time.

LMDH teams use the same chassis from 4 producers. I rather want the LMH as they build their cars on their own design from the ground-up.

@@PMDacpanothey use the same chassis supplier, that doesn't mean the chassis is the same, BMW and Cadillac uses the same chassis supplier and the cars looks nothing alike

When I first heard that Porsche were building a next generation prototype, I immediately started dreaming of something sleek and futuristic, with a scream like the RSR-17 that you could hear from miles away. That obviously didn't happen. The car looks fine. Sounds fine. That's all. Fine

You’re in the wrong universe. The 919K was Porsches pinnacle. The damn K stood for King. It’s about the best that Porsche can do. And damn she sounds like championships.

@@BlackEnglishmen I'd suggest this is a whole new universe that Porsche has entered into. It's built on a Multimatic chassis and entered into a BoP championship, using a stock hybrid drive system. That doesn't exactly resonate with the formula of Porsche prototype past. I see no reason why a little spice couldn't have been introduced. I agree, the might of Porsche and Penske combined will win championships. It'll just look and sound underwhelming while doing so.

There's a little fun fact ini found. Aside Porsche everyone in LMDh are using "off the shelves" engine. Cadillac were using the same engine as the Corvette GTE couple of years ago, Acura using the prototype engine that they'll be using for 2024 IndyCar season, and BMW were using the old DTM engine with small tweaks to fit the turbocharger.

Cadillac have a brand new engine according to their press release, even though it's the same KIND of engine. Porsche also is using the same engine from their old P2 campaign, just upgraded for modern racing.

The whole regulations are centered around having a cost effective series, so limited power, limited downforce to drag ratio ( what made the 9x8 happen ) etc so manufacturers can enter literally almost anything, it helps them use whatever engine they want, style the car however they want, and then still have BoP Im all for it, having this many cars at lemans will be amazing, and motorsports doesnt necessarily need to be more sustainable but its always nice

so many beautiful sounds, this is what racing should sound like. though nothing will top the memories I got of hearing F1 V10 engines, specially the BMW engine that Williams used, these engines all sound so amazing, can't wait to hear many at Le Mans 24h ;)

Yes, the sounds of all of them are amazing, this coupled with the variety of chassis available, especially in the LMH class will make 2023 sports cars an incredible series.

I was at Sebring this year and the Cadillacs sounded so good. Now Ferrari wasn’t there and I would’ve loved to have heard it.

Hands down CADILLAC! Throaty V8 🤤 Then comes the screaming By Kolles. Reminiscent of the glory days of F1! BMW and Porsche, honorable mentions, lol. What can I say, I’m a sucker for the sound of a V8. The Acura is an absolutely beautiful car, but it sounds like motor is broken when you listen to it.

BMW and Acura sound incredibly beautiful as turbocharged engines. They are both amazing. By hearing the Porsche, we directly guess it's a twin turbo engine, which sounds pretty good. Cadillac and Bykolles chose big N/A V8s which are fantastic! Big american V8 for Cadillac and an awesome 4.5L V8 for Bykolles which is derived from the LMP2 Gibson V8. I heard the Glickenhaus at Le Mans and I can swear it sounds amazingly beautiful. The Ferrari's V6 sounds boring but not too horrible... The Toyota and the Peugeot really sound ugly. 1/ - Acura 2/ - Bykolles 3/ - Cadillac
