Whether you have original VER.1 board, or newer VER.2 without audio preamp, or VER.2.1 with audio preamp, or even newer VER.2.5 with RF amp, or even the upcoming VER.3 HF FULL BAND Si4732 modification for UV-K5, we can improve things using LNA (RF amplifier) by Infineon, part number is BGA427. Best of all this is a cookie cutter approach and everyone can do it, from novice to professional, just a few parts and a few basic tools.

INSTALL instructions coming up right after I get my parts. Estimated time to do install less than an hour. Dificulty level, not bad, tweezers, iron, eyes.
