Dear All, Kindly check out the below link for Structural Analysis and Design of RCC building using Staad.Pro software. In this course, all the basic concepts, and Lateral load Analysis(Response spectrum and wind load analysis) of a building as per IS-456, IS-875, IS-1893-2016, and detailing as per IS-13920 have been explained. www.udemy.com/course/staadpro-v8i-structural-analysis-design-of-a-rcc-building/?referralCode=C1CBC2B104EF72579338

From the secondary beam you took 1/3 to C1, But will it be 2/3 to C1 and 1/3 to C5?
@visionprototype1311
@visionprototype1311 3 жыл бұрын
Load coming from secondary beam will act as a point load on primary beam and will be transferred to nearby columns as per distance of point load to columns. More the distance less is the load. Here you have assigned less load (one third) to shorter distance column. It is wrong. 2/3rd load will transferred to column in your case.

Very clear presentation. Thank you. However, please mention the following implied assumption and correct the addition errors: 1. Calculation is approximately valid essentially for pinned slab-beam, beam-beam, beam-column connections. It ignores built-in connections. 2. However, if code safety factors for the influence area method are used, that would allow for these approximation errors. 3. There a few mistakes in the load calculations when there is more than one contribution to the load and they are added together. Another set of parentheses should be used to correctly isolate the result of the addition from the load intensity factors multiplying it.

This method is for initial sizing of the members and assumes all the beam column supports are pinned so that the column only carries conservative axial loads.

v can also calculate by using yield line theory, depending on type of slab.. like in two way slab triangular area portion will transfer to beam, this load again acts like udl on beam, for this beam calculating reactions. that reaction force is the column load .

Maam I have a doubt please explain....from 6.20 wall load calculation You have to put main wall loads 2floors only but actually 3 floor wall loads are there including ground floor wall load also and another one is as per your plan in typical floors having partition walls in 1st and 2nd floor levels so you have to add 2 ... How is it come explain once madam....

13:33 which was that 4th wall.load.n.why you done half.of it is it third floor.partition wall?
@CivilEngineeringMastery
@CivilEngineeringMastery 2 жыл бұрын
That is partition wall load on second floor which is coming on only one floor.The beam on which this partition wall is resting is not directly connected to column, and is supported by another beam, from that beam it is transferred to column. That is why divided into half.

Mam How many method are there to calculate the load transfer slab,beam to column..
@CivilEngineeringMastery
@CivilEngineeringMastery 4 жыл бұрын
One is influence area method and another one is we can transfer the slab load to beam and from beam to column. Other than this we can use softwares to calculate the loads.

@@CivilEngineeringMastery which method get more accuracy mam?
@CivilEngineeringMastery
@CivilEngineeringMastery 4 жыл бұрын
Influence area method is more of an approximation, while the plate-beam-column modeling(staad.pro) is an exact approach. We can also cross verify with other softwares like etabs etc.

Some of the columns (C1, C2, C3.. etc) carry eccentric loading which create moment and you have not included in your calculation. If there are any assumption have been made please mention it as a note in your calc. Thank you!

When you need to calculate moments on the columns, you better use subframe analysis.

@CivilEngineeringMastery
@CivilEngineeringMastery 4 жыл бұрын
1/3 and 1/2 are not constant values.It differs according to the beam length. In C1 calculation, B2 is the secondary beam which is resting on B6 at 1/3 distance approximately(B6 supported between columns). Whereas,in C2 calculation,B2 is the secondary beam which is resting on B8 almost at center(1/2 distance). Hope this helps.
