Once again, what a GREAT video!:) Our 6115M was down one day hauling straw, so we borrowed a 6400 from a friend of ours. I really loved driving it!:) (and we owned a 6310 for many years) I really want our 6310 back after watching this videos:) Really loved that tractor, but the 6115M isnt bad either.^^

I like that auto unload trailer. It's fast and gets you back to the field to get another load before it rains.

Nice of the neighbor to let you use their tractor & loader. It's always great to see neighbors helping neighbors. That 6400 with the self leveling loader looks to be a pretty good setup. If I tried unloading those round bales like you are, they'd probably end up in the woods or pond know how my luck goes. LOL Stay safe.
@mikep78105 жыл бұрын
Thank you, luckily there wasn't any ponds where I was unloading lol. It actually made it better so I could get right out of there and back to the field and was able to bring them all back in 1 day

we have a 6430 with loader. it is great for loading bales and manure. we pick stones with it also. it was my first major purchase as a young adult at 18 years old. had it for 7 years no major repairs just routine oil changes. we even pull a 14 foot notill soybean drill with it we add duals to it and it planted 2000 acres a year ago.

Looks like fun, when I left the farm big round bales were just coming out. We had round bales, but they were out of an AC bailer that weren't very big. You could carry 1 in each hand on a hay hook. We did our square bales with a JD 214W baler with a hay rack in the back.
@mikep78105 жыл бұрын
We still do plenty of squares but I like stacking these better!

That unload was really successful ,first try even !!! Now as long as that unloaded doesn't work on the road as well! I know you took off the tailgate but just saying! Certainly easier than handling those small squares but a little boring maybe, I'm not sure what's satisfying about having the bales moved off but I agree! Thanks for the video!

I’ve got a 19 speed 7800 MFWA. It is a hog - give me 40 acres and I’ll turn that thing around. It is a great planting tractor for me and I use it on the round baler and winter chores if the weather is too nasty for two wheel drive tractors. It’s just pretty big to feed with. I think a 7810 would be a good choice - the benefits of the 78 series with some transmissions upgrades I hear. You will be disappointed with the a/c after using the soundguard cab tractors, that’s for sure.

@mikep78105 жыл бұрын
I dont think we are ever ready for that kind of heat! The milk cows we'll keep them inside and let them out after milking at might when the sun goes down. The heifers usually lay inside in the free stalls during the day too to stay out of the sun. Lol I dont know about a large square baler, I'd love a round baler though!
@blaneheinrich57435 жыл бұрын
The farming life a round baler would work much better for your operation for the small amount of bales you make plus if they get rained on before you get them picked up does not hurt them one bit watersheds right off and can be stored outside

Mike lets see if I was listening trailer is for hay for someone else who owns it when you have extra small squares call him. He bring the trailer and you fill it up and call he picks it and hay up. I will try to remember all this maybe the four time is the charm so can remember the trailer is someone else lol. I would think using for a while one would become accustom to the bale fork on the 6400. It would take a while like anything else repetitive use one would body become more use to the tractor and it bale forks.
@mikep78105 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm sure it would become easier with more practice. The Big trailer belongs to the guy buying hay but the gooseneck trailer is ours...adding that to complicate things 😀
