After hurricanes Ian and Nicole here in Florida last year there were tens of thousands of appliances that went to the landfill. You could of had you entire land filled with appliances 100 feet high with all of them. You wouldn't of needed to go pick anything up for the rest of your life. Well my friend..it was a pleasure watching your video and again I enjoyed stopping by.

sounds like a scrappers heaven, around here I try to stay away from storm damage calls, most of it is twisted up sheet tin, you can get a full trailer load and only have 1000 pounds or less, the flat stuff will stack well and get good weight

@Okie scrapper we just went through the same thing. My yard is torn up in preparation for a garage, septic, and new power to the well. I've been doing my best to strengthen it out myself. Pretty slow going when my wheelchair keeps dieing. Thanks for the entertainment I do appreciate it.

I scrap for a couple of ac companies and I save all the small copper wire off of the units . Recently took it to the scrap yard and had 138 lbs got #2 insulated for it.

I have 2-55 gallon drums full of insulated wire so far, I plan to build it up to about 6 and then take it in,

I save those spring coil heating elements from the heaters. It is actually a high heat stainless alloy called inconel. I haven't found a yard to take them to yet, but scrap price on inconel is currently $1.50-2.00/lb! It doesn't take up a lot of room, so I am just storing it up for a future payday.

My boss gave me a huge commercial AC unit that was replaced last weekend. Just got done processing everything, plus 6 pool pump motors. Finally got stuck with one with aluminum windings and one of the 2 compressors had copper/aluminum mixed, both new to me.

nice score, the copper aluminum mix can slow you down, having to separate them

@@Okiescrapper $600 trip today, that didn't include any of the motor copper! I have 2 loads of processed steel ready to go to a different yard, but now the thunder storms have moved in. I'm over in LA (Lower Alabama) so your weather gets here a couple of days later.
