I would love to get an old wood trap. Amazing the time and work put into the traps to keep them operational. Great addition to your channel!

If my memory hasn't gone bad, I think I remember seeing the use of wooden pegs instead of rubber bands. Cool Video!

Its crazy how mutch the industry has changed...we fish in pei and you wouldnt believe the diffence from the 30s to now

very neat...wouldn't the pegs in the claws ruin the meat thou? and were are they really that dumb that they would go after a red cloth? ever catch and octopuss by you there...

That's why pegs were discontinued, it caused there to be a piece of dead meat in the claw.

Lobstering is surely different now....Bait is outrageously expensive, fuel is too....Price of lobsters is less now (for the fishermen) than it was 30 years ago !

If you look close...He has a pothauler....You can see the pulleys and belts and the winch head
