Excellent kit by LOC Precision built with Level 2 in mind. Glassed with 6oz cloth for a more robust build and flew on an AT K535 for its first flight and cert attempt, but failed after a chute release, well didn’t release... 2nd flight was on an Aerotech J435WS with a LOC 38mm adapter for some success!

One of the best paint jobs I've seen on a rocket! Thanks for sharing.

Good job on that paint job! Must have taken forever but it looks like you had some prior experience!

It actually was quite simple, except for masking the teeth off with painters tape! Ha, was fun though :)

What was the final weight of your Warlock without motor installed? Did you add any nose weight? That's the best paint job I've ever seen!🖒🚀
@almostspace123
@almostspace123 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes it has the RNWS from loc in it with about a pound of weight in the nose for K motors, I remove the weight cartridge for J motors 👍

Bad ass man. I got my L1 today on a zephyr and will be purchasing this rocket next! Do you think it's okay to fly it on i motors and have you tried it?

Congrats!!!! Welcome to high power! I haven’t flown this one on I motors, but I’m sure if you were to fly it on larger I’s (higher thrust and shorter burn), it would be great for low and slow flights!

@@almostspace123 Did you upgrade your chute to a larger one by any chance? I'm thinking of upgrading to a 78" to take less beating when landing in the hard lake bed out here in Lucerne valley. Also, how's it do on K motors?
@almostspace123
@almostspace123 Жыл бұрын
@@karmasurge4842 I did! I fly in CO where our air is thin, ironically enough i am flying a 78" in this one!

No need for nose weight? And 7 second delay? And did you need to add extra charge to the motor to get the cone to come off?
@almostspace123
@almostspace123 Жыл бұрын
I think I had an 8 second delay set on the J435, and a 10sec delay on the K535, BUT this will vary based on your launch site altitude. And yes, for motor ejection on this I added powder to about 3 grams due to the larger internal volume. Hope this helps!

@@almostspace123 Thanks for the info. I just bought a Warlock for my L2. Did you have to add nose weight?

Did you have to add any nose weight to get the CG ahead of the CP?
@almostspace123
@almostspace123 Жыл бұрын
Yes, for certain motors, i added the removable nose weight system to this one, so for smaller motors i can take weight out, and add weight for larger motors. I think 10ounces brought the stability to about 0.5 calibers which is plent for short fat rockets :)

14 second delay?! 🤷
@almostspace123
@almostspace123 Жыл бұрын
I think this was an 8 or so second delay? Id recommend downloading OpenRocket to run sims for your rocket, lots of variables that will determine the delay needed, for example weight, and altitude + temperature on the day you're launching, etc... Hope this helps!
