Ishod Wair Secret to Front Boardslides is in his Shoulders and hips. When Ishod Wair ollies to front boardslides you'll see his are go up to his side paralelle to the rail. This allows ishod wair to hold his frontside boardslides and come out regular. Ishod wair also turns his hips across the rail during frontside boardslides to help keep his balance on point through the whole trick. Ishod wair is the goat and copying his frontside boardslide technique made a huge difference for me and I hope it does for you too!

If you notice he pops on a little closer to his back truck as well. That's what helped me learn them along with only turning my hips.

If you decide to try and progress more with the front boards I think doing the bump to rail part would be sick and if you get there and feel confident enough front boarding the down rail would be a cool battle to watch. Keep killing it.

Back in my day I called these the Arto Saari front board. Doing them this way is great for bails, too. You can just kick out of you slip out or just hop off if you stick. And if you decide to come out fakie, just twist your shoulders.

I used to get made fun of for some reason because I always kept my front arm parallel with the rail I'm on during front boards. I guess it looked funny. But no matter how much I get twisted backwards I'm always able to use that front open shoulder to turn back around on my way out. Also when I started getting front board kf out that was a huge help to use that arm and shoulder to gain momentum to get the flip around. Front boards are such an awesome and smooth looking trick. Good job brotha!

At 48yo I'm lucky to be getting back my 1985-90 street and mini ramp trick bags, which luckily is fairly doable even nearing 50. Hardest part now is purposely doing rocket kick flips... Not kidding, if you unlocked modern flicked kick flips, it is harder to go back to rocket than you'd think!

It's good that you got one going to fakie. Your shoulders are basically counter rotating what your bottom half is doing, to keep you from spinning. Without it you spin round naturally and go to fakie.

You can actually lock a bs/fs/boardslide once you’re used to its fundamentals . It’s basically over rotating your slide. Think of a front rock n roll on transition but on a flat bar instead. Your slides will eventually feel fully controlled.
