I wasn't kidding about the horrible sunburn... but I climb my first "real" mountain a week ago! There are a few pics on my Instagram: instagram.com/tomfrankly/ ...also, never forget to bring sunscreen to a mountain. Also, this video was edited by my friends over at the Boss Level 8 channel. You can check out their stuff here: kzfaq.info

Please keep your face moisturized and use a mild scrub when the redness has gone down. Also, drink a ton of water. And from now on, please wear sunscreen EVERY DAY, MOUNTAIN OR NOT. Seriously, the only reason you shouldnt wear sunscreen is if you dont leave your house for that day, whether it's summer or winter.

Vitamin C (1000mg - 2000mg) and topical vitamin E can both really help with sunburn recovery. Taking high dose vitamin C (2000mg) can also help with prickly heat.

Living in Budapest doesn't feel that cheap if you are a local. Not that I want to discourage anyone from visiting. It's just that our currency is really shitty and jobs don't pay all that well. If you come from a western country with a minimum wage, you can live like a king here. Plus the city is beautiful (yes I do have a bias)

Yes I know what you are saying, I'm Mexican and I can say the same about Mexico. Though if you come from San Francsico, LA, NYC, London, Toronto, Sydney, Tokyo or something, you are in for a real treat. Even in the US, someone that comes from California and moves to Idaho will feel that Idaho is really cheap, but I live there and I don't see it as such, the people from California that move to another state would sell their homes, get a lot of money to move out, buy a much nicer and larger home in another state, and still have a lot of money left over.

Great video! I've been working remote for a tech-startup in New York for almost a year now while matching that income through blogging and I can't get over how cool it is to have so much flexibility. I know I've thanked you in the past, but if it weren't for College Info Geek I'd have never started my blog, and if it weren't for starting my blog I'd have never been offered my job. I owe a lot to you and it makes me so happy to see all of your success!

I'm so happy that someone made this video. I've believed in working to travel for a long time, although a little differently than you. I don't like paying to travel, so I get jobs in New cities that I want to visit instead of just traveling for a few weeks. I hate taking time off work, so I love working in places I want to go so I can just take off one day a week (like Saturday) to visit great places. Right now I'm living in Chicago making really good money, and having a great time with the city :) thanks for getting this idea out there.

Hi Thomas, big fan of your videos. I'm about to attend university and thinking about buying an iPad Pro to use as my main device for taking notes. However, a part of me still believes that getting a laptop would be a more viable option. Perhaps you can make a video one day talking about the pro's and con's of using a tablet or a laptop for note-taking? I already know that you have a video about note-taking on paper vs. on a computer, but it would be interesting to see your view on taking notes on a tablet.

Great timing, I am currently in a situation where I can probably agree with my employer to work from a different country. I've been reading about regulations and tax policies for weeks now and my head hurts and I only feel more and more confused. THAT is what I would like to know how digital nomads, travelling freelancers and similar people handle. When people advertise this lifestyle they make it seem so easy and effortless. And then BAM bureaucracy.

It'd be cool to hear your take on the common critique (and my personal biggest gripe with) the Tim Ferriss approach to life as espoused in this video: for him, it seems that the purpose of a vocation is just to earn money and the *content* of one's work doesn't matter, which is how one ends up with his whole "e-commerce supplement sales at a mark-up" type of business plan. But what if one wants to do work that has more meaning than enabling one's hedonistic urges? e.g. most any private firm producing anything of any value, governments, financial sector, ngo's, etc. [i.e. most organizations] - is it possible to engage in (part-time) nomadism if one does not work in the creative / software sectors without having to give up all sense of occupational integrity?

For people with minimal skills, work experience, or the fortitude to start your own business get a job working for a fundraising company that'll allow you to work from "home". There are plenty of them in the U.S. and they'll hire anyone. Set up a car that's livable, get a good cell phone, get a laptop, mobile hotspot and your can travel constantly. Just park your car and male calls when your scheduled.

At least for Japan, many people who go teach English are not fluent in Japanese. AFAIK it’s not a requirement to get the job, and you can function fairly well in most areas in Japan without knowing much of the language. Not sure about other counties though.

It's a possibility, but probably not something I can do soon. However, one thing I am doing is preparing to do a lot more live streams :)

Thomas Frank Thank you so much for replying, you made my day😊 That's some good news! I love live streams! Plus we're with you along the way💪 Plus now that summer is here, I will get a physical copy of your book shipped ( even though I got it for free but I prefer paperback) plus I finally have the time to binge listen to your podcasts!!
