Thanks for the video!!! Saved our Memorial Day weekend at the Jersey shore. Pull into Wawa for gas, put truck into park and couldn’t get the truck started. AAA was 2hr wait. Googled what the problem was, your video came up. Opened the hood. Snapped the shifter cable back into place and within 10 minutes, we were back on the road, beach weekend saved!!! It’s now Tuesday morning and I’m on my way to Ford for the $5 part. Update: Apparently, the was a recall by Ford where they added a plastic cap that goes over the nylon bushing and linkage shown in this video.

Just fixed my wifes car.. pretty hard to get my hand in there but finally was able to do it.. also hard to find the part.. have a 2013 ford escape.. dealership only sell with the cable.. even i went to auto part stores cant find the bushing.. finally went to canadian tire and luckily it fit!
