I had some dip of a locksmith make me come back to his shop about five times to try and program a key. He kept feeding me some line about how his programming tool needed to get the latest upgrade to make my key work. I am sure he had no freaking idea what an FCC ID was. Glad to see someone who has trained themself enough to be proficient had handling real world situations.

Baud rate is to adjust the speed that the key sends info through the link in bits per second. So if you program a key and it sometimes doesn't trigger you might need to adjust the baud rate so it sends the info slower or faster to work.

I really enjoyed this video, it would be great if you did a side by side comparing it to the 508/608 models for those debating which autel programmer is right for them. as well as the key tool max, You rarely ever find deep dives like this one that break down the functionality. A big issue with the KTM is the learning curve that comes with it so im sure it would be useful to do a side by side as well. Thanks again!

I follow Advanced Diagnostics for key programming. It looks like their coverage and support is second to none. So far I've managed to program keys with the trusty Zurich from harbor freight. Exception being a 2002 Bmw I did with computer software. I have looked at this tool, however I don't do enough key work to justify purchasing it.

Bit of an update, I decided to take the plunge, and purchased the KM100, so far it has worked with my test vehicle (2007 Jetta, Immo V4, and slight correction, the ECU is actually 16U34), gradually going to be putting it to use with other vehicle's ( note gradually, as I mostly do service work and general repair on VAG Group vehicle's, but so far it has worked). My basic finding's so far are:- Yep it work's with the Immo 4 ( with my test vehicle ). Unfortunately (which is not a major thing), it's very "clunky!!!", if used via bluetooth connection, but not too bad via direct Cable connection. I have a couple more vehicle's to gradually test it with, and I'm typically on the look-out for more vehicle's in the North East of England ( I Buy some cheap little bargain's, from time to time, and most of them only come with one key, which I prefer having a spare ASAP, especially with some of the VAG stuff, where the door harness break's and it can manage to lock you're only key in the car if you're not careful lol).

He's a locksmith but doesn't know there is a Nissan trunk accessory that you can buy that relates to the trunk open button which allows the owner to open and close the trunk lid. Nissan sells cars world wide, some are sold in the United States, some in Europe, some are left side drives, some are right size drives, some have a different remote key with trunk open / close depending on what the buyer wants when he places an order for the new Nissan. I have programmed new keys for a 2003 Toyota Camry LE without any programming tool simply by following the directions to programming a new key. If you fail with several attempts, you will be successful by repeating the steps until you are familiar with all of the steps and do all the steps within the time frame allowed. For buying a programmer, find out which make, model you need without having to solder wires and do it BEFORE you buy it.

Yes the tool works. However you have a few little surprises with it. You don't get to use it for some Asian cars or Malaysian cars without extra purchase. And for older Japanese cars Honda i haven't been able to add remote. Works fine for the newer ones.

#1 reason not to love this tool would be the INTERNET. Most likely China is downloading your keys to their server, VIN# etc. It would be better if it was an UPDATE release instead of the internet need to function correctly.

My goal is to provide a KEY CLONE service. ONLY. No Lockouts or originate keys.... I don't have the patience... I have a 3 questions... If I try to CLONE A KEY. Is there ANYWAY I can screw it up? I just had a duplicate key made for my Kia. Not only do you need a programmer, you need a key cutting machine unless you are working on keyless models.

Great video! I have a 2022 VW Passat. Like a dummy, I washed the fob, and it’s not working. I did dry it out a bit, and installed a new battery. When I got into my car with the blade, I was able to hold it up to the ignition coil, push the starter button, then it started. Twice, lol. Then the message on the cluster was put a new battery in the Fob (even though I had new batteries). This is a proximity key, so I guess my question is…can I make a new key with any of these tools if my only key fob is essentially toast?

Based on other videos which I watched about 2022 or later Toyota's require 12 digit security code to add key, is this KM100 simulates original key and allow us to add additional key without that 12 digit security code right?

Awesome video. I tested the transponder generator on a new ikey. But is there a way to clear it for use as a target clone? It errors if I try to clone a OEM key during the write process of the ikey
