I feel like it’s been forever since my last interlocking session. I have a love hate relationship with this process. It last long and looks good but takes forever 😅.

I have been interlocking Peyton’s hair after I wash under her braids and I love it! Her first set of locs I palm rolled them but I like the interlocking better on her hair. Great video as always! Congrats on 3k‼️🤎

Thank you so much! And interlocking is really good for kids in my opinion because it stays neat longer. And great for me since I’m pretty active. Thanks so much for watching and supporting ❤️

After 2.5 years loc’d i think I have worked up enough courage to interlock my own hair. I am going to do it myself going forward. I am about to go and buy this tool now so when its time to retighten i have it. Thanks for giving me the courage to do this.

Girl, I wish my interlocking sessions could go as smoothly as yours! You do it with such ease. Also your locs look super healthy from root to tip. I've held off from purchasing your oil because I already use my own essential oil blend with Jojoba oil as the carrier oil. Now I'm thinking to try your oil anyway. Maybe I'll get some of that healthy look with fullness and length lol. Going to your site to order now! Also, thanks for the demo with the crochet hooks. Got me a set from Amazon but not sure how to use them.

Jojoba oil is really good! It’s one on my ingredients too 😊. I hope that my oil can be helpful for you! I’ll get your order shipped out this week. I’ll try to do a more in depth video with the crochet hooks, but sometimes it feels like I’m just figuring it out as I go lol

@@RebekahElaine I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my oil. The sad thing is that after it gets to the US address it has to be forwarded to me which will add another 2 -3 weeks before I have it in hand. But that's life lol

Congrats on 3k! Your locs are lovely.. I’m starting my 2nd loc journey soon and interlocking is definitely my favorite way to maintain them. Just curious, can you give me an estimate of how many locs you have? I know, it’s a weird question but it helps with choosing a size for my new set

How do you keep your locs so straight?
@RebekahElaine
@RebekahElaine 2 жыл бұрын
I think they’re trained this way. And the longer they get that more straight that stay because they’re heavier.

Your hair does look amazing. Any chance you can do a real up close look of your locs as so many viewers believe frizz is avoidable & for most it isn’t. If more you tubers like yourself showed us close ups of the actual locs it could help us embrace & accept our own perfectly imperfect locs. Also seeing a close up difference of newly retired roots compared to the older loc’d ends would be great, as I used to agonise over “thin” roots but came to understand its new hair that still needs to go through the loccing process of budding and swelling it’s not necessarily my hair thinning out. Many thanks for your video 😊🇬🇧

Thank you so much. I've been trying to get some up close clips in my loc diaries series so I hope that helps. Also, as my hair grows, I'll show my roots more and during the next interlock session, I'll do just what you asked. Thanks for your comment.

Hi Rebekah, I'm so excited the loc videos are back. I just wanted to ask, what is the pain level on interlocking? I periodically crochet and my scalp literally cries for dear life, so I have been avoiding doing it for almost a year. I can see, though that my roots need a retightening. #TenderheadTales
@RebekahElaine
@RebekahElaine 3 жыл бұрын
It’s not too bad at all as long as it’s not over done. I’ve learned how to feel when It might get too tight. In the past it used to feel like going to get braids done. But now, just a little tender.
@iamdanie_.
@iamdanie_. 3 жыл бұрын
You don't have to interlock your hair to the point where your loc is stiff on your scalp. That's not the thing that determines if it stays so once it's just neat and all the loose hairs are in the loc you'll be fine... Just don't overdo. That's key. Cause you know some people love a tight twist cause it last longer but twist are different. That's just hair twirled around itself. You know interlocking is creating knots in the loc. Where will they go? Nowhere.

I think everyone’s hair texture varies with how often to interlock. When I wait 3 months to interlock, I get a bulge or bubble. It’s not a smooth loc.

I am three years in and I pay to get my hair done. I’m trying to learn to interlock. I can do the front the back I’m scared to try because I can’t see. So I’m waiting for it to get footy so to speak so I can do around the clock. My locks aren’t neat to me but other people like them. I try to clean them up but my frizz is definitely heavy. Jus need a trick to clean up my frizz. Help

My locs are pretty frizzy as well. I’ve just gotten used to it. Sometimes I’ll roll them in my palms to help mange the frizz. I’ve also brushed them down and laid them down with a scarf but both methods are only temporary.

Question: How do you part it in the back? Do you worry about having even parts. I see in the front your parts are very even. Do you do this same in the back?
@RebekahElaine
@RebekahElaine 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there. When I first started them, I tried my best to make sure the locs would all be the same size. I used to braid my hair all the time so I was sort of use to parting. I used the double mirror method to look at the back of my head/ making sure everything was straight. Overall, I wasn’t concerned about having perfect parts, more so just enough hair for the size of locs I wanted.
