This is one of the most satisfying builds I've ever seen. Not only because it's filmed creatively and with care, but also because you have such a good eye to detail. You want everything to look good and function perfectly. I'm in the same way. It's kind of a sickness, but in a good way. Keep up the good work :) This video made me to subscribe! I love that you make proper use of hand tools like plane, file & rasp & don't just go straight to a belt sander & force it to reshape wood like many KZfaqrs do ... and it's refreshing to see a young person using joinery (butt joints in this vid, lap joints in the 1st one) instead of over-building everything with the same $200 pocket-hole jig. Great job & a well-prepared vid.

You are , indeed, a contemporary Renaissance woman-Kudos! Am here in Belize working on a tiny house design for a interested party and this design has helped me to get more flexible and switch gears to solve some spacial challenges. Being a 66 year old woman who also builds, I liked your philosophy on staying young...Flexibility (of both mind, body, and spirit) rocks! You GO, gyal!

GHD, 71.5 Thousand subs, ........ , Wow !!! :) I am impressed at your attempt & success for accuracy. I was looking for timber frame joinery, bed designs and found you. :) :) :) I can see why the high volume of subs from this one, 5 video, short story. I was surprised I couldn't pull myself away, even though I've got 27 yrs of high end commercial wood works installation and many, plenty, custom side jobs worth of making saw dust under my belt. lol I must tell you again how impressed I was at your wood works, the way you think, your video editing skills and your vision in general. I'm an old, slow, disabled 52yrs now, but still find ways to keep busy. I still play at making saw dust, (pool cue repair, jewelry boxes, anything custom, flat work & lathe work :) but found astrophotography recently, which is very rewarding and turned me on to creating video time lapse. From there I've, more recently, started learning about creating, "video how to's" and editing. I've done only a few as of yet but have a few more in the works. Things are even slower now because I moved to the country where I will remain to the end of the winter of my life. It's quiet w/ big spaces and lots of room to enjoy creation and wildlife. I've been working on my shops and yard so everything comes slowly. I just wanted to thank you for your generous consideration to share and inspire. I have been inspired :) You inspire me !!! Steph Boeker what's flatwork? I agree tho, at first i didn't know if id be interested in her vids since it's clear shes no expert, but her passion and surprisingly her lack of experience is invigorating and inspiring. Im 28 and dabble in woodworking, im more mechanically inclined. Diesel mechanic, welder, etc. And also worked construction plumbing which requires building of course. However i cant work due to severe back, knee and nerve issues. I can still work on cars, build things etc, just not at a jobs pace. I want to add wood working and tech things into my database cuz i enjoy creating with my hands and knowledge and wont give it up. A spot in the country with a workshop and time is a dream of mine. I hope to be building my dream home within the year on at least 5 Acres of land. I hope things go well for you. Maybe you can make your own videos and inspire others the way shes inspired us 😊 cheers! Justin aka Grim Indianapolis, Indiana

It's wonderful to read such great words, Steph. I feel rewarded by knowing that the things I do have repercussions on other in a positive way. Keep making those time lapse content and maybe we can start seeing some creations of yours too :)
