This cabin, at what I call Paradise Point, has been a relaxing pleasure to build. We started out just to build the log pen which measures 12’ x 16’, but the owner, Brother Wayne, soon decided to add a kitchen adjoining the back side of the log cabin.
During the build, I purchased a Woodland Mills sawmill HM126 and was able to saw all the lumber that was used on the kitchen inside and out as well as the gable ends and front porch. I will be building the doors for the front and back entrances as soon as the lumber has dried to acceptable moisture levels.
When building with green logs, a cabin needs to set for about a year before beginning the chinking process to allow for settling to take place. The insulation and wire are already in the gaps, sufficient time has now passed and chinking can start when time and weather permits.
Thank You so much for watching! If you are interested in learning detailed information on how this cabin was built please find the playlist to Paradise Point cabin build below:

Good Afternoon sir, Thank you for your kind response. I have something to ask you. With you working with wood, are there people in your area that teach how to make guitar instruments? Why I am asking is because my husband is seeking to make his own guitars. Thank you so much for your time. Wishing you and your family a beautiful Happy Christmas and God Bless all of you.

@@TheBeardedCarpenter Paul the lord has laid it on my Heart to Pray for you a little extra. I don’t know why but when the Lord tells me to do something it’s not my business to question him. ( But all that Matters is the Lord Knows Why and what’s best !!! ) He Knows our Needs before we even know our own needs. So I’m praying 🙏🏼 for Your needs and I’m asking him to fulfill your needs and to Bless you, your wife and Your family and take care of it for you Paul. God Bless you Paul and keep your faith in the Lord and He will see you safely through to the other side. Peter was walking on water going from the Boat 🚣‍♂️ out to Meet the Lord in the water UNTIL he took his eyes off the Lord looked down and lost his faith and then he began to sink. That’s a great lesson to us all is to keep our eyes 👀 on the Lord and keep 100% Faith without reservation and He’ll perform miracles in our lives we can’t do ourselves. There’s never been a single time he’s ever let me down, forsaken me or not been there for me when I needed the Lord the most !!!! Just like the Poem Footprints 👣 in the Sand, The one set of Prints was when he was carrying me and I couldn’t carry myself . I KNOW THIS OLE TOO WELL PAUL !!!! Had it not been for The All Mighty’s Blessings upon my life on this earth 🌎 I’d have been Gone a long time ago. I’m Oh So Blessed to wake up every morning and Draw Breath again and see another beautiful day each day and I owe it all to him. I should’ve died June 23, 2006 in That Freak Tractor Trailer accident when a 24” wheel and Tire off of a Pimped Up Cadillac on the other side the interstate 🛣 came through my driver side windshield 130+ MPH HEADED STRAIGHT TOWARDS MY FACE!!!! Police said I was traveling 55 the Cadillac was traveling 75-80 mph with 2 lug nuts holding on the drivers front wheel. The wheel almost doubled in speed when it came off his car and met me head on. But God sent an Angel to ride in my passenger seat 💺 of my Freightliner that day. A heaven sent Angel that literally turned that wheel & Tire to the left just before hitting me Square in the face. The wheel and tire bounced around inside my freightliner tractor like a rubber ball and not once directly hit me. I was indirectly hit by what the wheel & tire hit and shoved against me or from flying glass, plastic and metal & the wheel shoved the back of my captains seat 💺up into my back. But The Angel kept Satan from taking me out !!! God said it’s not yet his time Satan so back off. The freak accident ended up breaking my Neck, broke my back, severely cut me up really bad. I Had to have spinal fusion surgery and have a artificial neck put in the place of my neck bones that it broke and left me with my back broken. Almost 2 years of physical therapy to learn to walk and hold my posture correctly again......BUT IM ALIVE TO GIVE MY TESTIMONY!!!! When the Tractor Tractor come to a stop 🛑 with a huge wheel and tire laying in my sleeper on my pillow in my bed....... There was glass, plastic, and metal embedded all in my face, neck chest, arms and legs and all over in my truck! It looked like someone through a hand grenade inside my truck. It done $19,500 in inside damages to the truck probably $40,000 by today’s standards and inflation. But not one spec of dust on that passenger seat 💺 and it literally exploded my windshield, dash, overhead cabinets and you could’ve ate food 🥘 off that passenger seat 💺 it was so clean. The Angel Of God couldn’t be touched by any of that flying debris. Upon my dash exploding and my Truck Getting To a complete stop 🛑 my little New Testament Bible jumped from between the windshield & the dashboard & ended up on the edge of the only piece of dash that was left to the left of my steering wheel and it was teetering on the edge ! Paul when I saw the wheel flying 130 mph from the other side of the interstate 🛣 in my line of travel and realized it was gonna come through my windshield all I had time to say was HELP ME GOD!!!!! But all cut up and busted up and broke Neck and broke back and bleeding horribly that’s what I saw upon coming to a standstill was that Bible teetering on the only 8” piece of dash left. When The truck driver behind me that jackknifed to keep from going up into my trailer came to my drivers door and jerked my door open to check on me. When he opened my door it made my Bible that was teetering on the piece of Dash cut a flip. I remember looking at it as if it was in slow motion as it cut a flip and landed on my left foot and the Bible was standing up opened up when it hit my foot as if you placed it standing up. All this was not a coincidence this was by divine intervention by God himself ! Even the fire chief in the back of the ambulance with me asked me did I see it ? I could barely talk & I said: Did I see what the clean seat on passenger side ? Because I remember seeing the seat 💺 was clean no debris no damage.....He said that passenger seat 💺 is as clean as a whistle and I said: Yes it had to be a Angel ! The fire chief said that’s exactly what I’m talking about he said I looked inside your truck, looked it over good and you can eat off of that passenger seat and everything else in the truck looks like a bomb went off in there brother. He said you had to have an angel riding with you I just want to know did you see it ? I said no sir but it turned the wheel he said I know the hole through the windshield was headed right toward your face and that wheel and tire had to been going over 120 mile an hour and there was nothing in that truck to stop it from hitting you in the face. He said was you in your seat I said yes sir in my seatbelt but something turned it to the left right before it hit me in the face after I yelled HELP ME GOD. He said yes Sir I’ve been doing this 35 years and I’ve only experienced this for the second time today and the first time we put the other guy in a body bag he said why am I not putting you in a body bag Mr ? And as they got me out of the truck to put me in the ambulance I remember reaching and grabbing my little Bible out of the floor that had flipped & stood up on my foot and I had put it in my left shorts pocket. Because it was 95 degrees that day and I had cargo shorts on. So I reached in my left cargo pocket as I was laying on the stretcher and stuck my hand in that side pocket & I pulled that little Bible out and held it up. I said I guess because he’s not done with me yet is the reason you’re not putting me in a bag!!!!! He said brother you’re exactly right and you’re going to have one heck of a testimony because you had to have had an angel riding in your truck with you today. Or otherwise that seat would not be looking like it had been vacuumed out. So the Lord has been over my life for some time now and no I’m not perfect don’t claim to be. Don’t claim to be more than God makes me, But when the lord lays something on my heart I do it or I tell it. So I got the strong 💪🏼 urge to pray for you, your wife and family! But I just wanted to tell ya the Lord laid it on my heart to tell ya he’s with you every step of the way Paul my Brother in Christ !!! God Bless you Paul and your family. CC Rider

I have for my entire life wanted to build my own log cabin like you have done here so a few years ago I started to buy antique axes and hand tools and restored them. I have the property and all the hand tools , I just needed a couple more things then I was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and am now disabled . I still push myself to do some things but can't work like I used too . I even cut down a Maple tree on my property to build a woodworking bench but I can't do the work on that anymore. I am going to live my life through you Brother Paul. If you ever need Northern White Cedar and would'nt mind driving to Northern Michigan you can have all you can cut. GOD Bless you Brother.

Absolutely awesome! Very happy to see this posting. I study your videos like a text book. My plan is to start a Dovetail Log Cabin this spring. I would love to see a video, start to finish on making a Dovetail notch completing both inner and outer sides in one video. I’ve made a couple of test runs but a video of this type would give me the assurance that I am doing it correctly . We live on Bull Shoals Lake in North Central Arkansas, our little Piece of Paradise!
