@@jacquethirlkel3001 Its what our town refers to "the dump" as, most of the items brought there are eventually transferred out to bigger facilities to be properly disposed of.

Wishing you a happy New Year as well! Thanks for the nice comment. We don't really let the cabin freeze up when we're not home. Usually we don't leave for more than 10-12 hours and are home in time to stoke the woodstove. If we go overnight somewhere we will run our backup propane wall heater which will keep it warm in here. We also don't have running water so the pipes won't freeze up if it did get cold in here. I worry about my plants so I try to keep it warm enough in here for them:)

I like the idea of the clear inside too - I want to do something around the cook stove for sure because I need to be able to wash off the logs better. We know where that one is, too. I think Shane puts the wood far away because then we don't have a bunch of wood chips close to the house. A couple years ago we had it by the house and it was a mess. Thanks for your comment and for watching!
