It's because we have this pathetic and medieval law from the 60s that any foul language used on TV in a live broadcast has to be followed by a sincere apology to the listeners (BY LAW) and if they don't then they can be fined and taken off air. It's utterly fucking pathetic as most of the listeners to Talksport use profanity in every other sentence in daily life.
