There is nothing wrong with getting another dog. I strongly believe that dogs, cats or pets, in general, are here for us. They make us feel way better. I am glad you have chosen to take this step. He is absolutely beautiful. Also you are not replacing Kong. Think about it like this... Even with human children, they advise you to have at least two children. Just incase, God forbids something happens to one of your kids you have the other to help ease the pain and to make you feel like you still have a purpose and didnt lose everything etc. So getting another dog could be the same. You said you were feeling lonely and probably very depressed from the hearbreak. So this could be a great decision for you and not in any way "replacing" Kong or being disrespectful to his memory.
