I like it when you get in the explanatory mode. I knew nothing about that. The logger/sawyer had a rule and he was the one that did and kept track of it all. We just stacked and delivered and ran ourselves ragged at the mill doing it. Happy week, burn diesel and Be Blessed!

As you already know, your narration is 100% accurate. Some of us don’t mind your narrations, so add your 2 cents. Love the video’s.

Very interesting!! It's like we can see into the logging world and we're not "authorized persons" (meaning we wouldn't be allowed into the logging yard without special permission.)

I enjoy the perspective of someone who has learned the hard way, l have dealt with "starvation sticks" a few different times in my lifetime. Thanks for bringing us these videos.

You guys can load em end to end? they get all sorts of pissy down here if we try that... PNW Yank lengths, the mills like 41' cause its mostly paid on weight and they do pretty good on the back end that way, cause the scalers measure the small end. However, most mills will accept 17,19,21,--,25,27,29,31,33,--,37,39,41, and you can sometimes talk em into a 43, a few of the mills will take down to a 13' but don't make a habit out of it. (multiples of 8-10' plus 10" minimum for trim, easier to round up to a full foot) note: the --, is the lengths YOU REALLY DON'T WANT TO SEND 23-35 further note: independent's i.e. gyppo loggers always get paid by scale, rarely by weight, so sending long logs the mill pockets about 90bf or more for every 40' log you didn't buck at 33', they are paid at the same rate, and they really like when you send 40's.... (which is that $100 per bucks you were mentioning...), its further compounded with self loading log trucks, because we end up with the trailer up to weight before being "full" long before... Cedar preferred lengths are 19,25,33.5,37.5 and they really like it when you send nothing but the 37.5's cause the taper really benefits them
